Thanks for the info.. we really need to beat Romney, Giuliani and Thompson.. contact WV meetups and tell them to become one now.. I think we have like 5-6 days left.. the 148? uncommitted? can someone explain are they going to vote, can we encourage them to go for Paul?

As far as being a delegate... If it doesn't involve missing class/work or spending insane amounts of money on fuel, I may be able to bear some of that load. Someone PM me on what it entails and I'll see what I can work out. Finals are coming up and school doesn't stop because I need to represent someone.

The convention is on Tuesday, Feb 5 in Charleston. If you are elected to serve as a delegate and you cannot go, you can appoint an alternate to go in your place.

If you intend to file, please do it ASAP. The deadline is November 30. If you need to switch your registration to Republican, you can do it instantly at your county courthouse, then download the delegate registration form from http://www.wvgopconvention.com and make sure it's sent in before the 30th.

Do people only vote for the delegates with preferences? Most of the delegates appear to be undeclared.

You can vote for as many at-large delegates as your county is allowed. Between now and the convention, we will be doing all we can to convince the undeclared delegates to vote for Ron.

Also, how long does it take for a person to change their party affiliation there? Is it immediately is it too late?

It's instant at the county courthouse. Please act now.

Is campaign HQ aware of this? Seems like money needs to be spent here ASAP

There was some foot dragging, but they've finally gotten into gear. There are automated calls and direct mailings going out right now.

I haven't officially registered as a delegate yet, but it's on my to-do list for this week. My roommate and 3 others are going to be registering as well.

Superbump.

I'm sure that we non-West Virginians would be more than happy to create a chip-in to provide funds for transportation and lost pay for the one day February 5th convention. Trust me, it will easily be taken care of if that is the only hold-up to you becoming a delegate. I'm sure that the same goes for the $25 filing fee.

This thread is awarded AlexAmore's official Bump of Approval. Congratulations.
