--> ATTENTION! West Virginia GOP Winner Determined on 30 NOV<---

so, just a few more and Paul can take the lead! Mobilize, who else can become a delegate in West Virginia?!

not good.. the delegates themselves need to convince friends/fellow RP supporters to join them! What about the meetup groups?

I left a message on the West Va message board encouraging them to become delegates, but I have no other way to contact them, so far we are loosing..

Does anyone have any contact info? emails, phone numbers? anything, we don't have really anytime left, this needs to be done within the next 3 -4 days

I just counted them from Friday and here's the breakdown.

55 Fred Thomson 15.9%
49 Mitt Romney 14.2%
38 Ron Paul 11%
37 Rudy Giuliani 10.7%
7 John McCain 2%
6 Mike Huckabee 1.7%
4 Duncan Hunter 1.1%
149 uncommitted 43.2%

345 total

Thanks for the info, I can't believe we're still so behind on this.. what's the deal with the 149 uncommitted.. can anyone elaborate, sorry I'm new to the political process, so I'm not sure

For God's sake, those of you who live in West Virginia, please contact others in your Meetup group and ask them to become delegates.

Has the campaign sent out a request via myspace yet? There has to be some supporters from WV on there.

Fred's wife Jeri was in town Wednesday talking to the legislature, that's probably why there's a big jump in Fred delegates.

Here is a total that I complied of ALL AT LARGE DELEGATES registered (not just Ron Paul Delegates). The possible include the bonus delegates if the county voted for Bush. I only counted counties where we had at least one delegate running:

Kanawha 51 registered out of possible 52
Cabell 7 out of 27
Grant 2 out of 11
Harrison 11 out of 18
Jefferson 4 out of 17
Logan 1 out of 3
Marion 4 out of 10
Monongalia 12 out of 22
Monrow 2 out of 8
Nicholas 3 out of 8
Pleasants 2 out of 6
Preston 2 out of 15
Putnam 8 out of 22
Tucker 1 out of 6
Berkely 12 out of 32

I missed a couple counties, but it's late and I didn't realize until halfway thru. I'll have better numbers by Wednesday after our weekend mailings get processed.

The reason the above numbers are siginificant is, no county has a total slate of delegates to even have a vote!

If this were the final list, every single person running as an at large delegate would go to the convention!

Now, there's still a week left, so they'll be more registering, I figure we're going to have to get out the vote in Kanawha, but the others are wide open.

I have to bump this. Kinda wish I lived in WV, well, only for the election.

What's the news coming from WV? Has everyone been contacted?

Could we send out a message to all of Ron Paul's myspace friends list that we need WV supporters to step up. They might not even get the memo or know what's going on till it's too late.

State of the State

We have been contacting supporters throughout the state via the meetup groups and other parties, such as the LPWV and the Constitution Party.

The campaign has been making automated calls featuring a script developed and read by Gabriel McCall, a local who understands the convention process very thoroughly. They have also, I understand, done some direct mailing.

We will continue to try to register as many people as we can before the deadline on the 30th. After that, we will switch our focus to bringing the undeclared delegates over to Ron.

If any of you out there have other ideas or ways to contact supporters in this state, please let us know. Thanks.
