Attention! Urgent action needed!

The winner of the West Virginia GOP "primary" will be determined in the next 2 days.

This is because November 30 is the DEADLINE for people to register as delegates, and delegates will determine the winner of W.V., NOT an up-or-down vote.

West Virginia is an important state because it will be the first state to announce it's winner on Super Tuesday, February 5th, thus affecting the outcome of other states still in voting, such as California on the West Coast.

Imagine if Ron Paul could WIN a seemingly unlikely state? IS THIS POSSIBLE!?!?

Yes. But we need a massive effort to inform people. The current delegate count in West Virginia:

Fred Thompson
82

Mitt Romney
80

Ron Paul
69

Rudy Giuliani
54

John McCain
12

Mike Huckabee
11

Duncan Hunter

There are 65 county-at-large RP delegates out of 610 total county-at-large delegates. We have the potential to fill every county-at-large delegate slot, BUT ONLY IF WE TAKE ACTION AND INFORM.

You can refer West Virginians to:

http://www.ronpaulwv.com/

You can also volunteer to help me phone bank known Ron Paul supporters in W.V. (easy calls) by PMing me.

It's all about voter mobilization.

Filling the form out now to mail in tomorrow, already have 3 votes plus one switching democrat (just from tonight). I'll be declaring Ron Paul. Keep in mind that there's also at least a few undeclared voters that are set to vote for Paul, as well as a number of meetup groups that just convened on Saturday about this very issue. Gotta run and get some more votes.

EDIT: For those interested, I got my Democrat friend to switch for voting in the GOP primaries with one simple question: Do you really want Rudy McRomney to even be an option? After that it took all of 2 seconds for him to switch.

Of those people, I think all of us have already filed but Chris (pyrazole2). I'll get in touch with him to see what the hold up is.

There are a bunch of Libertarian Party members who are sitting on their fucking thumbs and pissing me off. They keep participating in the discussion about delegates, asking questions and raising points of contention, but I don't see their names on the list.

>I also need people to help me bug the campaign about letting us phone bank West Virginia Ron Paul supporters using the telephone #s they voluntarily gave online at RonPaul2008.com. This is important. Anyone with campaign contacts? If we could get a ph# list of RP supporters in WV, it would be VERY easy to make the calls because they are KNOWN Paul supporters. And we could get enough delegates to WIN the state.

I contacted a libertarian blog that supports Ron Paul to get them to post something about registering Republican for just this one election. They wouldn't do it :(. I made this graphic to get people not commonly associated with the Republican party to register as such. I can modify it for delegates if you want :) Just PM me.

Currently, Ron Paul delegates only make up 7.8% of the entire county-at-large (regular GOP members) delegation. There are 29 county-at-large RP delegates out of 372 total county-at-large delegates. We have the potential to fill every county-at-large delegate slot, BUT ONLY IF WE TAKE ACTION AND INFORM.

Please post here if you are willing to help contact Meetup members about becoming delegates. You can refer them to:

http://www.ronpaulwv.com/

I need people to help me contact W.V. Meetup members with messages specifically tailored towards them and their location (for example, if they state they are from Hampshire County, inform them that Ron Paul needs 5 supporters to run as delegates in Hampshire County).

Any takers?

I also need people to help me bug the campaign about letting us phone bank West Virginia Ron Paul supporters using the telephone #s they voluntarily gave online at RonPaul2008.com. This is important. Anyone with campaign contacts? If we could get a ph# list of RP supporters in WV, it would be VERY easy to make the calls because they are KNOWN Paul supporters. And we could get enough delegates to WIN the state.

You know that.

Now take action.

The meetup groups should all be informed of this situation.

We've been trying to squeeze this info out of them. There may be Privacy Act issues, FEC issues, or something, but they haven't been forthcoming.

Nice graphic. A delegate version would indeed by cool. :)

The meetup groups should all be informed of this situation.

The meetup groups ARE informed, and ARE active. Three of the four WV meetups held delegate sign-up sessions over the weekend. I think we netted about 6-10 people.

Larry's group down in Charleston supposedly registered 10 people at the gun show on Saturday.

Hopefully we'll see those names pop up tomorrow.

There are just a bunch of people who have been sorta-kinda participating in the Ron Paul Revolution so far who now seem like they don't want to step up to the plate and actually DO something to help us win.

I've personally contacted all 200 Meetup members in the state, as well as 50 Myspace and 20 Facebook supporters.

The problem is that 270 people isn't enough. Everyone needs to be informed. Everyone who's ever donated to Ron Paul or signed up on his website that's from W.V. E-mails have been sent out, but no one pays attention to those half the time.

We need to start making phone calls.

The campaign has something coming at them tomorrow.

It's me, and you don't want me on your back.

EDIT: Oh yea, I just drove back home from West Va and I will be showing up at headquarters tomorrow if need be.

PLEASE go to HQ and DEMAND that they turn over the volunteer info to us. We'll do the legwork of making the calls, visits, etc.

They just put out those training videos where Lizardo is telling us that that's exactly what they're going to do, then they don't give us the info when we need it!

GO GET EM! I love this crew.

GO GET EM! I love this crew.

It's for their own good

It's not like it would be unsolicited phone calls. Honestly.

Maybe they will allow some volunteers to make the phone calls from HQ so they don't have to give ph#s out, if privacy is the concern.

Otherwise, this is basically doing the legwork that the paid campaign staff should be doing.
