Dear International Supporters,

I know there isn't much you can do to contribute directly to the campaign, but I also know that you want to help out! Well here is your chance to help make the next moneybomb THE BIG ONE!

I'm paying to run ads on Facebook for the "BlackThisOut" money bomb event page. I don't have a lot of cash, but am putting in what I can. Basically with Facebook ads you can target people by their 'like's and their location. At the moment I have 2 ads running both with multiple targets including current RP supporters and Republicans, democrats and "The Daily Show" 'like'ers.

These are the ads:

("the the" has been corrected in the live version)
(P.S. if you see these, don't click them, you'll cost me $0.50 to $1 for the click!!)

My budget is currently at $10/day (this ads up over time!! and I've updated it to $35 for debate night), which means I'll get only about 10-20 clicks a day. Better than nothing, but we could get so much more people in if we could advertise it more.

I think key to this is getting people on the Facebook event for the page. It'll remind them to do it on the day and allows the message to spread quickly to all their friends.

Facebook event is here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=181997088537471
Website/Pledge page is here: http://blackthisout.com/
RP Forums Post here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...TIRE-MONTH-for-Promotion-amp-25-000-Attendees

If you want to help out, please donate $5 or $10 to my chip in and I will put it straight into more advertisements on Facebook for the event. The more money I get, the more I can advertise the event, and the more money we'll get in the moneybomb.

If you want to donate, here is my chip in: http://ronpaulfbads.chipin.com/ron-paul-facebook-advertising

I'm appealing to International Supporters because American supporters should keep their money for the actual moneybomb, I don't want to steal money from the good doctor!

I'm open for ideas regarding the ads too! So if anyone has any suggestions, please throw them at me! I'm happy to post he stats of the ads so far if anyone is interested.

Also, you can make YouTube videos showing support for Ron around the world. I remember there was a TON of those last time around, and they were extremely heartwarming.

Could we call it a "donation bomb" instead, or at least include the words "donate" or "donation" somewhere? I dunno, but looking at the ad's short text, the term "money bomb" may confuse some people, and I think we need to add a bit more context.

(Remember this ad is targetted at non-RPF-members!)

Good point. I'll look at rewording it. I've got limited characters to use, but maybe something like "The media has continually blacked out and lied about Ron Paul. Join in the fight with the most donations within 24 hours. Join now!"

I'd say replace the last two sentences with "Join in the fight with a 24-hour donation bomb!" That way you have more characters to complain about the media :D

I'll donate $20 to this if an American donates $20 now to the EoQ push (and post the receipt please!) :D

Oh dear, we got it backwards. YOU were supposed to donate to the campaign. I was supposed to donate to the ads :P

Whoops! Thanks for the contribution never-the-less!

Also, could you both please edit your posts and remove my email address domain name? I just don't like my email being on the web in text. A spam bot will read it and spam all different names @ my domain.

Oh well, I donated the $20 now anyway. I hope a hero American will contribute $20 to the EoQ push, please! :o

And save your next paycheck for the moneybomb!

BUMP, this is a great way for me to contribute as a 17 year old student from London.

This is a good idea, and I love the ads... but for people out of the US, can't they donate to the campaign via proxy? For example... I won't even come close to maxing out my donations (wish I could, money just isn't there), so are there laws against someone from abroad just paypaling me the money to donate for them?

Glad to be able to help!

That seems like a pretty dumb rule. I mean, how can they even enforce that? If any international supporters want to buy a copy of my Ron Paul wallpaper, just send me $20.12!

I don't know... just seems these limitations are kind of ridiculous and unnecessary.

Have you looked into/thought about doing facebook "sponsored stories"? Not sure if it is fully live yet, but they were testing it when I went to a lecture last month from a facebook media person
