At least 25% of McCain's votes were in their hearts for Paul

I spoke with at least 50 independents this weekend in NH, and almost all would have voted for Ron if they thought he "had a chance".

The support is there. Though I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about converting these summer soldiers. Things aren't bad enough I guess.

Don't know what else to say, other than our numbers ARE as bad as they look, but NOT as bad as they look.

God damn pussies. One should always vote their conscience in my opinion and especially in the primaries.

Yeah, I've had the feeling for a long time that things just aren't bad enough yet. Sadly, in a few years, many voters may look back on their vote and say, "Man, that Paul dude was right."

I don't understand this argument. Your vote is too small to make an actual difference, so why don't you vote for WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT. We've been told time and time again that voting for 3rd party candidates and "long-shots" is throwing our vote away, but that makes no sense because you can't make any noticeable impact in the grand scheme of things anyways.

There is something seriously wrong with people who feel like they need to vote for the winner. Vote for the guy you WANT to @#$%ing win... not the guy you think is going to win.

I don't blame the government anymore. I blame the people.
Yup. People like my mother-in-law who voted for Kerry instead of Bush not because of any issues but because Bush's lips were to thin. I'm being serious.

wtf kind of a reason is tht? how the f***k can someone win if you dont play your part in making him win?? its the most basic rule in any competition. you have to believe you can win and work towards the goal no matter what. the winner is the one who perseveres to this rule

Bunch of fucking TV watching booger eating idiots.

We don't deserve Ron with this fucking bullshit "chance" MSM mentallity.

Give me my fucking FEMA camp.

Damnit, are people really THAT concerned with being part of some non-existant "in-crowd"? Doesn't anybody just VOTE THEIR CONSCIENCE anymore?!?!

I hate when people say this crap. Were not betting here. You are not supposed to vote because "You think they will win." You vote because you believe in their principles and views. People like this piss me the freak off.

This doesn't make any sense. Not in the primaries! If they voted for Paul in the primaries to win the nomination and then he didn't they could have still turned around and voted for McCain or whoever actually did win in the general election. There is no excuse for not voting your conscience in the primaries.

The campaign did a less than stelar job getting out the anti-war message. Most of the NH anti-war independents never found out that RP was the only anti-war conservative, and they went for McCain instead. The ads should have stressed opposition to the war, and not immigration and abortion - issues that drove the independents to the more moderate McCain.

then these dipshits deserve McCain. What a bunch of gutless crap

The GOP will get its ass kick.............in some ways It needs to.

The party (like a drug addict) just has not hit the bottom yet.....sad

I've been saying this for a while now. The people in government who write papers, books, policy statements about "ruling the world" and exerting U.S. military dominance and explioting the natural resources of other countries are just doing exactly what they have said they would do.

It's the peoples' fault for not being informed enough to know the realities of U.S. foreign policy and American Empire. I can't tell you how many hundreds of people I talk to every day who take offense to me using the term "Empire" to describe the United States! They really think I'm making it up! They really, honestly think it is a conspiracy theory with no evidence to support it!

It's like talking to a f**kin shoe!
