At least 25% of McCain's votes were in their hearts for Paul

There is something seriously wrong with people who feel like they need to vote for the winner. Vote for the guy you WANT to @#$%ing win... not the guy you think is going to win.

I believe they think they get a prize for choosing right.

Stupid sheep.

Soldier on to Nevada, Florida, SC and Michigan.

Then to super Tuesday.

If things continue to be split and there is no frontrunner before super Tuesday, then everything comes down to who can afford to play.

Right now that means Giuliani, who has performed lower than Ron Paul to date, Romney, who has won only Wyoming, Thompson who has performed lower than RP, and the man himself, Ron Paul.

Huckabee is getting a little funds off of Iowa, but he is not going to have what is needed for super Tuesday. I suspect the same will hold true of McCain.

It's far from over.

I don't understand this argument. Your vote is too small to make an actual difference, so why don't you vote for WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT. We've been told time and time again that voting for 3rd party candidates and "long-shots" is throwing our vote away, but that makes no sense because you can't make any noticeable impact in the grand scheme of things anyways.

Unfortunately people will follow the leader rather than voting who they think is right. Too many people will sacrafice their choice just so they can say they voted for the winner.

This is truly sad! But I will not give up as super tuesday is less than a month away!

I spoke with at least 50 independents this weekend in NH, and almost all would have voted for Ron if they thought he "had a chance".

That has to be the saddest excuse for not voting for some one I have ever heard.

Seriously how do you expect to give some one a chance if you throw your vote in to the "Heck lets have a 100 more years in Iraq because it is so god damn fun to watch our brave service men suffer" guy.

I say send McCain back to Vietnam to give him a refresher of what war is, he seems to forget, guess 5 years in a POW camp wasn't enough for him.

no wonder everywhere I go around the world they think Americans are dumb and arrogant......who live in their own shell....creating entertainment (NFL,NBA, Brittany, Paris Hilton). and look at th world with arrogance....I always thought this was stereotypical horseshit....but now I believe most American's do think we own this world and have moral authority to do whatever the heck we want around the world as long as we are safe here....reality check....
the world is sick of us and we are to be blamed for choosing guys like bush and Mccaine...

Just as many people voted for Giuliani, and he had no chance to win. Come on people!!! Show America that Ron Paul DOES have a chance to win, if we give him one.

Michigan, I'm looking at you.

Nevada, get ready.

I bet a lot of indies got cold feet in the booth and couldn't pull the trigger.
But I do think we got more than 8%, easy
We need to investigate with an open and clam, rational mind here.

You spoke to 50, and thousands upon thousands think and beleive that. Thats the problems, 1 vote doesn't make a difference persay, but 1 vote x10,000 does. Its the difference between him having a chance and not having a chance. I agree that its BS logic because instead of following bad advice and meeningless chatter about wasting a vote if everybody voted how they felt this country would have been better off the past 12-20 years. (or more)

The campaign did a less than stelar job getting out the anti-war message. Most of the NH anti-war independents never found out that RP was the only anti-war conservative, and they went for McCain instead.

"Less than stellar job" THAT gets my vote for understatement of the day!

The ads should have stressed opposition to the war, and not immigration and abortion - issues that drove the independents to the more moderate McCain.

Umm, you see the ads that were supposed to run in Iowa accidentally got mixed up and shown in New Hampshire, and vice versa... must have been because someone "threw a shoe" into the database, yeah that's it.

The support is there. Though I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about converting these summer soldiers. Things aren't bad enough I guess.

Don't know what else to say, other than our numbers ARE as bad as they look, but NOT as bad as they look.

1) Get a professional press secretary
2) fire the lifetime friends who can't execute local campaigns and media - find replacements - move on

As I was putting up my new 4x8 sign in my yard, a nicely dressed elder couple walked by and I asked if they had heard of Dr. Paul. The gentleman said he agrees with everything he says, bu that he wouldn't be able to get anything done as President. Didn't sound like he would vote for him because of that.

It needs to get worse before they fight.

Nah, Huckabee won 3rd in NH based on FREE media airtime, not on his bankroll.

NO ONE has enough money to fully engage ALL of the Feb 5th states (not even Romney if he sold his house and spent his last dollar -- even owning Clear Channel won't be enough... Maybe if he bought all the NWS stock?)

Reality is that it is MSM from here on out...

And do the above in like... September or October when you realize there is a REAL campaign here.

So much for "Live Free or Die" New Hampshire...

But they don't have to FIGHT... they just have to VOTE.

When it get's so bad that they have to "fight" -- well all the good germans will just go along with the flow until there is no one else left to fight.

Its do to the MSM, obviously.

Yes they were foolish to not vote for the candidate they liked the most, but it was originally the MSM that planted that doubt in their heads.

We need to stick together and focus on grassroots education. Use the internet to get the best facts and history story together and then use grassroots to bring it to the people. Could we make a difference in 4 years?

And don't get some stigma like moveon.org. Keep it real generic and low profile.
