At Debate Tonight, It's Time for RP to be AGGRESSIVE

He does need to get in on the cycle of rebuttals etc. He needs to demand he gets his rebuttals also (he didnt when Romney said he took his info from Ahmadinejad )

He does need to take on the other candidates , but he needs to take them on intelligently. Getting angry will probably only push away moderate neo-cons , who, whether we acknowledge it or not, are the people we need to "convert".

If I was Paul I'd try and stay clear of the Iraq issue and concentrate on domestic issues . The only thing I'd push home about Iraq etc is how McCain is anything but Anti-War(iraq) . New Hampshire thought he was anti-war and about 50% of the politically minded people I know also thought he was anti-war(iraq)... until I set them straight , of course.

Above all tho I'd add a little more hope in my message. Americans like to be told how good they are. I'd try and paint a picture of how much better life would be if I was elected President.

He needs to go all-out. Pull an Alan Keyes. Except not crazy.

Yeah. The sad thing is, back before 9-11 Alan Keyes sounded A LOT like Ron Paul. He had a very libertarian message.

Then he started ramping up the theatrics and presentation and ramping down the content. CHA-CHING... bought and paid for.

I would LOVE to see a debate with all 6 that are left. Imagine the exchanges:

Romney vs Hillary
Huckabee vs Obama
Paul vs McCain

One thing I don't like is how every time he talks about what 'Republican' means he brings up the Dept of Edu. He always throws that one in there, but fails to explain it. For someone who has never heard about Paul (still many out there) they hear that and think he's cooky. I just wish he'd leave that out or EXPLAIN it further. (Coming from a mom of 2 I just tense up when I hear him bring that up in a debate without expansion at all!!!)

He also needs to focus on economic issues and show that he is the most fiscally conservative candidate.

Will there be only four? 9iu11iani hasn't bowed out yet. I think he wants to get his ego stroked one more time.

What time? What network? Will it be carried nationally (unlike the Florida debate)? Anyone know? Help me out!

Sorry I have nothing constructive to add but 9iu11iani, HAHHAHAHAHAH. I can't get enough of these nickname things.

"Dr. Paul has written to you that we are heading straight for Super Tuesday. Our opponents are free to beat up on each other and wear themselves down while we gather our supporters and prepare to storm the convention with delegates. " Today's article at Ron Paul's website.

Agreed, he needs to be very, very aggressive tonight, in addressing McCain's lack of knowledge of the Federal Reserve System, and of the United States Economy. He also needs to attack Romney's record on being anti=2nd Amendment.

He needs to point out he is the only candidate who is conservative on all fronts, unless people believe being conservative, means occupying other countries for a period of up to an entire century.

It is time to show some guts and tap into the dissatisfaction with Romney and McCain among the Conservative base. Another answer like he hit Fox with ("Can I participate in the current debate?")

Remember one of Reagan's turning points - the infamous "I paid for this microphone" line. It is time for "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and go for the throat, and be seen as "a man" not "a wierd intellectual."

SHOW "BALLS" and "LEADERSHIP".

Republicans want a fighter right now, and that's been Paul's weak point to date. The party is depressed, angry, and adrift, and is begging for a leader, not a panderer or follower.

Rhetoric, tone, and attitude are key right now.

I don't understand why he doesn't speak up and voice his discontent over the time alloted to him, and give a little jab at one of the others, so he can create a real DEBATE.

If he's just going to keep LETTING the moderators silence him, and LET the other candidates make fun of him, then voters are going to wonder what he would do while president if faced with a real ENEMY THREAT.

Republican voters want to see toughness. If you ain't tough, you ain't going to win.

CNN national, 9pm EST.

You know...for Paul to be aggressive...He actually has to get to speak.

I completely agree that this may be his last time to really take over a debate. He needs to be assertive with not just the other candidates but with the moderators.

I mean, who cares what the moderators think? They have shown nothing but disdain for his platform and campaign. They act like they are doing him a FAVOR but letting him join their debates.

Dr. Paul should call them out on their questions (if they ask him the same stupid stuff). After the first 20 minutes if its obvious that he is getting much less time than time than the others I would ask the moderators (like Edwards did in the SC debates) "I thought that would be a 4 person debate?"

Dr. Paul has got to realize that a show of strength and conviction will help people understand that he can be a LEADER. Remember, what the main prize is here...

to become President of the United States of America. To have your name added to the ranks of others like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

He needs to start acting like he really wants this.

You know Romnuts is going to try to dominate the entire debate, and McCain will be like an old man on Viagra, but he's just an old windbag... So Ron REALLY needs to pour it on, as he does when giving rally speeches. Every answer should be another rally speech!

30 years ago the average political sound bite was something like 2 minutes. Now it is down to around 10 seconds.

As well as being taken totaly out of context (when used to discredit).

I agree - he needs to tone down that Dept of Education thing. He's right, but, it is a system that is too emotional for people. Want to get rid of the Dept of Education? That must mean he's against the children..

I'm think it might be past the time when he can attack.

He should have weeks ago, now he's just going to come off as desperate and grumpy.
