You seem to like statistics. Measles, mumps, Rubella, Polia, Diptheria - all almost vanished when we started vaccinating.

Shots cost about $10 a kid. They're sooooo gouging you.

I personally am not so concerned about the price. I'm more concerned about choice in the matter. I wouldn't vaccinate my kid because I don't trust them-based on my experience getting ill from vaccine. I don't care if you get it done, just don't force them on me and my family.

Well, if you and your kids are vaccinated, then you don't have to worry about our kids not being vaccinated now do you?

Infant exposure issues aside, I worry about the probability that this will end in government mandated vaccines.

I also wouldn't discount the powers that be using large gatherings, like the Rally and Ronstock, to intentionally infect the crowd, knowing that an abnormally high number of kids aren't vaccinated. This, would in turn, be used to ridicule liberty lovers in the media and also to prove that the government needs to take care of the children.

I doubt anybody here would force them on anybody. But making that choice increases the likelihood that your kids are going to get sick, and increases the liklihood that the government is going to assume control eventually.

How much of the increase in formerly "eradicated" diseases in the US (e.g., TB, polio, etc.) are due to the ILLEGAL ALIENS in our country?

Before that invasion of illegal aliens *with active diseases*, people could have skipped vaccinations with minimal risk.

Do you trust the FDA's "approval"? Look at what other countries are doing about FDA "approved" drugs-

Many of those people had home births for similar reasons.

Again, if your child/ren has/have been vaccinated, whether or not other people get vaccinated is irrelevant. If your child/ren has/have major complications/death shortly after new vaccinations, that should be relevant to you.

A business associate stated his normal child had her PPT shot (years ago) and became "dumber than a box of rocks". His research at that time pointed to the Pertussin of the PPT, if I recall correctly.

A formal investigation has been launched by French authorities against two managers from drug companies GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Pasteur. A second investigation for manslaughter has also been opened against Sanofi Pasteur MSD.

The investigations are in response to allegations that the companies failed to fully disclose side effects from an anti-hepatitis B drug used between 1994 and 1998.

The first research project to examine effects of the total vaccine load received by children in the 1990s has found autism-like signs and symptoms in infant monkeys vaccinated the same way. The study's principal investigator, Laura Hewitson from the University of Pittsburgh, reports developmental delays, behavior problems and brain changes in macaque monkeys that mimic "certain neurological abnormalities of autism."

The findings are being reported Friday and Saturday at a major international autism conference in London.

Most were almost eradicated due to better hygiene-- not drinking water you just crapped in etc.

Also there is a natural rise and fall in the prevalence of disease. If you look at a chart when the polio vaccine was introduced it was on the downward side of the bell curve. Polio was on the natural decline.

One problem with vaccines is the fact that they are injected rather than inhale or injested. Food in your belly is actually still considered on the outside of your body until it is absorbed into the bloodstream. In the digestive tract your body has a chance to decide if the foreign body should be absorbed or not. It's the same with the air in your lungs.

However, in the case of leaky gut syndrome for instance, undigested food, allergens, etc. get into the bloodstream more easily. This is the problems that I have with vaccines. The body does not have a chance to determine if the contents of the vaccine are good or not and (although mercury is definitely bad) a good portion of the bad reactions seem to be based on an allergic reaction from the body sensing a foriegn body in the bloodstream.

Most people who are "against" vaccines would take them if they were safe. I believe there are many documented situations where doctors involved in FDA trials are consultants to the drug company whose product is in the trial.

Is there any reliable source of any kind of information, when even "photographic" evidence has been proven to have been doctored?

What criteria should be used to determine "reliable"? Whose criteria?

I actually discount 99.5% of everything I've been told or read.

The best I can do is get information from both sides of a topic, something the MSM used to call "objective" reporting.

Then, I use my own BS detector/personal experience to make decisions about what actions to take or not take.

I'm not quite sure about that:

The above graphs, based on the official death numbers as recorded in the Official Year Books of the Commonwealth of Australia, are taken from Greg Beattie's excellent book "Vaccination A Parent's Dilemma" and represent the decline in death rates from infectious disease in Australia. They clearly show that vaccines had nothing to do with the decline in death rates. (Note: Graphical evidence on the decline in death rates from infectious disease for USA, England, New Zealand and many other countries shows the exact same scenario as above).

So what were the true reasons for this decline? From his book 'Health and Healing' Dr Andrew Weil best answers it with this statement;

"Scientific medicine has taken credit it does not deserve for some advances in health. Most people believe that victory over the infectious diseases of the last century came with the invention of immunisations. In fact, cholera, typhoid, tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough, etc, were in decline before vaccines for them became available - the result of better methods of sanitation, sewage disposal, and distribution of food and water."

Well it is at least partly fraudulent, I agree. That doesn't necessarily mean there will never be such a thing as a safe vaccine.

Yes, some diseases that we vaccinate for are very serious but for every dramatic death caused by vaccination there are thousands of children who are damaged, mentally or physically, often beyond repair by vaccines. These statistics also fail to take into account preventative measures to keep one's body fit to battle disease and alternative medicine (which some people prefer to vaccines).

I also happen to have heard that one of the reasons why we are seeing a resurgence of these diseases is because they are growing resistance to the vaccines. It is certainly the case with whooping cough as multiple pediatricians have told me that the vaccine isn't really effective against the mutated strain.

In addition at SOME hospitals and Dr's offices diseases are put down differently based on a person's immunization status. So, you can show up with the symptoms of polio and have the vaccine they often call it something other than polio in the records...all in all this documentation irregularity can make it look like people who are vaccinated rarely show up with the diseases they are vaccinated against..which is not the case.

Yes, I am a chemist. Actually, I got the idea for the new preservative from posting here on the forums (threads like this). I don't have any experience in medicine, but I am assured by those that do that this would be perfectly fine (people in my own lab, and affiliated labs). My primary work has been in surface coatings, working on things like catheters, contact lenses, and various implants. Some of the people on my team have been working on combining my anti-microbial technology with their phage technology to take out specific bacteria, viruses (like HIV!), and cancer.

We're finally starting to make some headway, having sold our first commercial product, which will be hitting the shelves probably around January (in Texas, elsewhere later). These will be orthodontics which block bacteria growth on their surface, stopping cavity formation beneath braces and such. Soon after, our orthodontics client is planning on out a sealant that will stop all bacteria growth on the teeth permanently (elsewhere in the mouth will be unaffected).

I'm hoping we won't be affected by the bad economy. Our tech is so good that it ought to carry us through just about anything short of societal collapse. I'll post more about this stuff in Health Freedom as more things happen.

My kids are not vaccinated and they are fine and healthy. How did humans survive thousands of years without vaccines? Do you even know what is in them? Go read the ingredients and then tell me they are “safe”. The HPV vaccine insert even states that you are more likely to get cervical cancer when you get the vaccine. There is mercury still in some vaccines, I would not drink Mercury so why would I inject my child with it? Because they say it is safe?
It is an individual right, I am responsible for my children until they are 18, not you, not the State. There is NO LAW in CA that says you have to vaccinate your children. Ask yourself why the Government gives out vaccinations here, Africa and around the world for free? Are they just trying to help us for the greater good? Why were the health departments called Eugenics offices back in the day?

Vaccine scandal revives cancer fear

Many millions more people than previously thought might have been given polio vaccine contaminated with a monkey virus linked to cancer.
It has been known since 1960 that early doses of polio vaccine were widely contaminated with simian virus 40, or SV40, which infects macaque monkeys. Tens of millions of people in the US and an unknown number in other countries, including the UK, Australia and the former Soviet Union, may have been exposed prior to 1963.
The contamination occurred because the kidney cells the vaccine virus was grown in came from monkeys infected with SV40. Health officials say the problem was eliminated after 1963.
Now Michele Carbone of Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago has announced results that suggest the Soviet polio vaccine was contaminated after 1963, possibly until the early 1980s. "Is there infectious virus? The short answer is, yes," Carbone told the Vaccine Cell Substrate Conference 2004 in Rockville, Maryland, last week.
The vaccine was almost certainly used throughout the Soviet bloc and probably exported to China, Japan and several countries in Africa. That means hundreds of millions could have been exposed to SV40 after 1963.

Rare cancers
The consequences of exposure to the virus (which is not related to HIV in any way) are unclear. There is evidence is that some of the people given contaminated vaccines were infected by SV40, and that such infections might lead to the development of certain rare types of cancer many years down the line. But the link with cancer has neither been proved, nor shown to be false.
"There are two scenarios," says Philip Minor of the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control in the UK. "One is that it doesn't matter. The other is that it does."
Minor found three samples of the Soviet oral polio vaccine from the late 1960s in the NIBSC's freezers, the only samples known to survive from this time. In 1999, he found they tested positive for SV40, whereas British samples from this period did not. "But we did not draw any broad conclusions," Minor says.
Now Carbone has carried out further tests. He has confirmed the presence of SV40 in the Soviet vaccine samples using three separate tests. In two of the samples, he also showed that the SV40 remained infectious. In the third sample, there was no infectious poliovirus either, an indication that the sample of the live vaccine may have degraded.

Lung cancer link
Yet the production process was supposed to ensure that if any SV40 was present, it would be neutralised. When Carbone tested the Soviet neutralisation method, which relied on magnesium chloride, he found it was only 95 per cent effective. Because of this, he believes the Soviet vaccine could have remained contaminated until the early 1980s. In 1981, the Soviet Union switched to a polio vaccine seed provided by the World Health Organization that was free from any SV40 contamination.
Carbone, the first to publish evidence of a link between SV40 and the deadly lung cancer mesothelioma ( New Scientist print edition, 21 May 1994), will not discuss his results further until they have been published.
Officials from the US Food and Drug Administration who attended the conference also declined to comment, as the FDA is a defendant in lawsuits alleging that the SV40-contaminated polio vaccine used in the US has caused cancer cases.
Hilary Koprowski of Jefferson University in Philadelphia, who created one of the first polio vaccines, says he is not surprised that the magnesium chloride preparation did not work. "Nothing inactivates something 100 per cent," he said. "I would believe there were still remnants [of SV40] left."

Fresh kidneys
The contamination of the Soviet vaccine highlights the need for safer methods of growing viruses for vaccines, Koprowski says, something he is trying to tackle by using plant cells. The US stopped using fresh monkey kidneys for polio vaccine in 2000. But the vaccine is still made in this way in several other countries.
"I would say that it suggests that [old] vaccines made in different countries should be examined for possible contamination," says Janet Butel of Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, a leading SV40 expert.
"In any epidemiological studies where they're comparing exposed versus non-exposed, if in fact there was any contaminated vaccine used after 1963, the control group wouldn't be a control group."
Konstantin Chumakov of the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, says that Carbone's findings leave many unanswered questions. For example, he said it is not clear from the labelling of the samples found at the NIBSC exactly when they were used in the Soviet Union or for how long.
Chumakov, whose father was director of the Soviet Institute of Poliomyelitis Research during the time of the contamination, says he was told that at one point the Soviet Union was supplying more than 100 countries with its vaccine.
He travelled to Moscow in April 2004 to try to learn more about the production and testing of the Soviet vaccine. But he found no more vaccine samples from that era, and very little surviving documentation about specific batches and why they might have been contaminated. "It's hard to explain how it happened," he says, "but it obviously did."
