Sheesh. Anyone remember the first episode of Start Trek TNG, with Q bringing forth the soldiers fueled by drugs? They had that sniffer dangling from their armor.

The military suicide rate doubled in July. That's one of our troops, almost every day.
To come up with an answer, the Army recently gave 3 million dollars to a university of Indiana research center, and those researchers came back with this: Anti-Suicide Nasal Spray.

The drug: Neurochemical Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH). TRH has a euphoric, calming, antidepressant effect. I can see this being abused to the umpth degree. "How about a game of Solitaire?"

I'm glad that this has come to light as info like this should give pause to anyone that is considering a career
