CPS is by far the most evil of all government agencies that interact with people on a daily basis. They are nearly all hideous people and the LAST people that should be in charge of how others raise their kids. Search warrant and kids seized over a non-FDA approved supplement?? Methinks he dared to practice "contempt of CPS douchebags" and this is how they responded.

Looks like it. Subforum hell. It's impossible to know where anything goes on RPF any more. I try to find what I think is the appropriate subforum, check for dupe threads, if none then post. But nope, let's not put the topic about homeschooling parents getting harrassed by CPS in the actual forum about homeschooling and parenting.

It's been overcomplicated and micromanaged to the point of being nearly useless, plus admin is taking most of their advice in the forum structure revision thread from trolls and sock puppets. I'm sure they have the forum community's best interests at heart. Ever heard the phrase "keep it simple stupid"? /rant

my latest information is that the lawyer STILL does not have what the family is being charged with.
(there is no case file)
everything is on "hold" until the "evidential" hearing. feb 13th.
the family has not been charged with anything.

there are um, "rumors" that a federal judge has taken an interest in the case.

if they had ANY solid evidence of "wrongdoing" this situation would obviously not exist.

That's pretty screwed up, there's no telling what they will be blindsided with on their day in court. That makes it hard for defense.

local scuttlebutt is that the judge will release the children and claim no harm no foul.

"probable cause" is all that is claimed now.
this family was VERY close knit, there were always a group of them when they would show up at meetings.
Maddey was the one who really impressed me. we were working on doing a presentation for the next group meeting.
I was supposed to give the presentation but along the way it became clear to me that I should let her do it.
