ARG Arizona poll

The tea party in my area and in the nearby cities all endorsed Ron Paul. I don't think you can lump the entirety of the tea party together when the movement itself happens locally. Therefore all tea party's are different. All the tea party members in Iowa that I know are Paul supporters tho.

I don't agree that the Arizona immigration law amounts to a "National ID" card. People are already required to bring their driver's licence with them when they drive. The Arizona immigration law didn't change that.

It is a national ID for Arizonans. The state of AZ voluntarily sends ALL license data on ALL Arizonans to the fedgov. AZC4L is cited here.

E-Verify is also decidedly un-conservative. In addition to the creepy national ID aspects, it's just one more hat that businesses are forced to don for the fedgov, for free, in addition to being tax collector, insurance provider, and social worker.

Oppose the E-Verify National ID System

"Don’t offer amnesty to those already here illegally. Sanctions against employers who hire illegal immigrants are unfair; it is the government’s responsibility to determine who is here legally.

Start a guest worker program to channel the flow of illegal immigrants through a legal mechanism.

And establish a clear immigration policy that is actually enforced."

IRS is intimidating Tea Party members. If they don't vote Ron Paul, who'll defend them? Are they suicidal?

"In January and February of this year, the Internal Revenue Service began sending out letters to various local Tea Parties across the country. Mailed from the same Cincinnati, Ohio IRS office, these letters have reached Tea Parties in Virginia, Hawaii, Ohio, and Texas (we are hearing of more daily). There are several common threads to these letters: all are requesting more information from these independent Tea Parties in regard to their nonprofit 501(c)(4) applications (for this type of nonprofit, donations are not deductible). While some of the requests are reasonable, much of them are strikingly onerous and, dare I say, Orwellian in nature."

The majority of claimed "Tea Partiers" don't deserve to align themselves with the Tea Party.

I had numerous arguments four years ago (as a Paul suppporter) with McCain supporters. They all said they were voting for him because he could beat Obama and Paul couldn't. They basically told me I could shove my principles.

That was me, unfortunately. :(

On the other hand, I am proof that people like that can come around!
