I am 62 and my husband is 70. We both voted for Ron Paul in the primaries. What drew my attention to him is how the media kept pushing him aside, and ridiculing him. It made us think: hmmm this guy might not be part of the establishment. So we began digging deeper into his voting record, and then into his videos and articles.
We discovered that he was for a return to the Constitution (among other good stuff), and meant it because his voting record backed it up. He is a rare breed in Congress these days, and one of the very few we take seriously. The majority are a joke.
I think the reason he does not realize how many of us older folks support him is because, like he says, he speaks mostly at the colleges. But that does not take away of the fact that college students have done much to advance his message, and I appreciate them.
