Are We Allowed to Challenge Other Forums?

Lmfao at this!

Interesting concept. An exchange of ideas through honest debate could be useful as well as stimulating.....that is....as long as we don't let it turn into a war. Would need heavy moderation of the rules.

The rule should be serving the purpose of free speech, or defense of the constitution that guarantees it.

If you want to do it for entertainment purposes, go for it, but I don't see it really spreading messages.

The message spread is by demonstration. Demonstration of constitutional defense. A serious, worthy and challenge needed to be met by all Americans.

The other thing is who gets to pick the subject for debate? I can't begin to say how tired I am of the romper room "issues". It's almost sad.

The subject is layed out before us in the dynamics of our infiltrated federal government and the task of restoring constitutional government.

There can be a no more worthy subject. Our lives and futures depend on it.

I like the idea, but debates work because the judge takes points away for being illogical. We would be the only qualified judges. Truly thoughtful liberals (for instance) don't frequent 'liberal' forums, from what I can see. I see them at apolitical forums though.

I like Bryan's idea that it is just to find out where we agree. That's most important.

Alternately, I could argue for the liberals, but I'd hate to win. MWAHAHAHA

What about an open invitation to start a formula thread? Such as, any forum that wants to, start a thread with this formula, and allow our dozen (or unlimited) representatives to post there. Along with that, an invitation to our forum. Bryan may be right that cut and paste is better, but I don't know that trolling is that great a risk, and I like the idea that some of the people who sign up over here might be swayed.

DU isnt really open to opposing ideas.

But maybe its the way something is presented, politely vs argumentatively (and condescending)?

I think it says something about people when they are afraid of opposing ideas and viewpoints. If you have the courage to defend your beliefs, you don't shy away from a challenge. You look at it instead as a teachable moment.

Is anyone bored with the depressing echo chamber dog killing? We still need the news posted, but I wish we could focus on more information spreading to the opposite "team" and less ad-hominem attacks than shit that depresses me worse than Sarah Mclaughlin

I want RPF to argue with Democratic Underground...or something. Real money could be in play for the winning team. Paid in Bitcoin.

I'm not sure how something like that should be judged or decided upon though.

Go for it. You'll be banned in under 10 posts. Espeicially on DU

This board caused a shat storm back in 07 on a conservative board. Things did not go to well. Few were convinced.
