Are We Allowed to Challenge Other Forums?

You know how this ends, right?

Each side will be convinced their side is the victor. And little will be accomplished.

It could be nice entertainment, though. Especially, for those that are entertained fighting with each other in here.

That is sorta what I'm curious about. To see where it goes.

I'd like to see a youtube debate, DU, RPF and RedState.

People voted the best among their peers to represent each forum would be interesting. Not sure if I want that or not.

Getting forums to work together sounds like the problem.

Keynes knew what he was doing.
he also knew that it was wrong.

Only if they clearly associate their username over here with being a debate challenger from <insert name here> site... We've got enough anonymous trolls.

Should also invite folks from the conspiracy sites like ATS and GLP, would make it entertaining.

I signed up there. I made a thread about the term "Obama Phone" being added to a political dictionary published by a university press. The post was fairly ridiculous. It was pretty funny to see how many people actually believed it.

The funniest forum war I saw was between the Sean Hannity forum and the Fred Thompson Form in 2008. The Hannity mods were mad about the satirical nature of TFTF and tried trolling it-- which is stupid trolling a satire forum. In return a bunch of people went over to the Hannity forum and pretended to be hard core neocons. Somewhere on this forum someone quoted one of my sockpuppets on the Hannity forum as an example of how crazy they are over there. I'll hand it to Torchbearer, he said something about it probably being satire.

our founders had this knowledge long before he was born.

Yep "his ideas" are proof that those who don't read history are doomed to repeat it, but as you said earlier, he knew he was wrong.

Interesting concept. An exchange of ideas through honest debate could be useful as well as stimulating.....that is....as long as we don't let it turn into a war. Would need heavy moderation of the rules.
I remember in this site's earliest days, there were lots of members very excited about the prospect of spreading the message of liberty throughout the web. My recollection is that they by and large, weren't received as well as we'd have liked.

But I would be completely down to have an online debate of sorts, on a neutral website. I don't know what format would be best, text only/voice or in person, but moderated well it could be a pretty cool experience.

...I want RPF to argue with Democratic Underground...or something. Real money could be in play for the winning team. Paid in Bitcoin.

I'm not sure how something like that should be judged or decided upon though.

Better yet: RPF wins, DU pays in bitcoin. If DU wins, RPF pays in fiat paper dollars

Ahh, good times....
