Apmex can't keep up with demand

P.S. We are actively looking for new bullion inventory to purchase. If you have items that total $2,500 or more and are interested in selling, please call our trading offices at the number listed above. We are paying strong numbers for ALL Precious Metals!

Future things to come? Read that there are lots of dealers (local and online) are low or out of inventory. Hopefully its just a temporary surge, but with current events who knows?

The price may be right, but there may not be any to buy would be a bummer. No one seems to be selling at the higher prices except for scrap. Stronger hands have entered the game. Time to find some sources other than apmex if you can, who knows when they will get back thier supply.

Good luck to all PM hunters.

That's what I find eery.

At some point the spot price means nothing if you can't buy anything more then a piece of paper claiming you own gold or silver at spot.

Just because Apmex can't meet demand......doesn't mean others can't....

Ebay is awesome.....I have bought much there and usually under spot when spending at least $500

Also check your local coin shops.....

Check Ebay....there is tons of silver rolls there EVERY day.......

And you can usually buy close to spot on small orders and below spot on big ones.....

I have monitored ebay all day - generic silver rounds were going 23-25 dollar per ounce. I bidded a bunch and lost every time.

My local shop has nothing but 100 ounce bars and slabbed junk silver at high premiums.

It isn't gold but silver that I find uneffected by todays drop in prices.

Monitor Ebay today.....and over the next week.....

Because silver is so cheap compared to gold.....new ebay people tend to put in proxy bids unlike gold where if their gonna go high.....they will do it at the last second.....there are so many silver bulls, the bids you are seeing made were made last week by over speculative investors.....

Seriously....look thru the bids and when they were placed......

In the long term silver looks awesome....but don't try to convince people it is unavailable.....because that is simply not the truth......

I was bidding all day - and getting out bid at the last minute by people.

All Im saying is today the holding market for Silver did not match the drop listed.

It really is two separate markets trying to use the same spot price.

Demand for actual physical may finally break the shorts on the COMEX. They don't have enough metal. A strong case can be made for silver because it would be far easier to buy up the entire world supply and then physical redemptions would be demanded.

I challenge anybody to find fine silver at even $23 a ounce with shipping.

$29-$30 an ounce was quite common while spot for silver dipped under $18.

BullionDirect has it right now at $18.70

I do agree with you, though, that it is likely that physical and paper silver will have difficulty "sharing" a spot price in the short term.

WTH are you guys talking about - You can buy all the physical silver you want at coin shops - A bunch of people are selling their stacks at this pricing

If the trend continues a week from now.....mainly people overpaying on silver on the bay......then get worried.....

But right now a major dip just occured....it should adjust in the next two to three days.......

If you can't get silver close to spot on ebay in another week....then you might have reason to be suspicious....the smaller buyers have not adjusted to the bigger ones.....I would be willing to bet I can buy PLENTY $10 face value silver US coins for within $1.00 spot this coming week.....and will if it is at $16-$17/ounce, I have a $1000 to spend right now which has been budgeted for this purchase....I am just waiting for the best time to buy and it is coming soon IMHO.......

WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING??? Or do you live in rural North Dakota.....Yesterday at 4PM....I could have bought silver eagles for $20 at my local coin shops (Yes...over spot.....but way below the prices you are quoting).....In a few days or weeks I will buy them for $16-$17.........

mine sold out of all silver except 3 100 ounce bars and slabbed coins

And where do you live? Probably not in a city of any size......I could expect that in a rural area....but that is simply not the case in a 2nd rate city like buffalo yet alone a first rate city like New York City or Toronto....

What are you smoking? I posted the ebay link of completed listings today.

Can you read? Your reply has nothing to do with what I just wrote.

No it has everything to do with what I said.....I could purchase Silver eagles today for $20 dollars (From a coin store 3 blocks away....not the best coin store in Buffalo....just the closest).....not $29 dollars or any of the other ridiculous prices you have quoted.......

If there are a few idiots on ebay who think they can affect market price by bidding on their own auctions on ebay to create false demand.......well....good luck.....

So where's the next best place to buy from other than Apmex? They're where I've made my last couple silver purchases.
