Amash was in Hartland Tuesday. I was not able to attend, but just saw this on facebook
[h=5]To the person or persons responsible for leaving the ANONYMOUS anti- Justin Amash flyers on the windshields at Tuesday's Freedom Banquet--you are dishonest cowards. If you are not willing to put your names on crap like that, and defend your statements, they aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
You also wasted the $100 bucks on copying, because, for the people in that audience, 99% of attendees understand how Congressman Amash votes. He reads the WHOLE bill and if he doesn't believe the guts of the bill live up to whatever feel-good title is given to it, he votes no. He also votes no if any portion of the bill is unconstitutional (duh). He also votes no if he believes that any part of the bill unduly expands government or contains pork--unlike so many of his colleagues who would trade their mothers for a juicy provision (it's better to get 80%...). And finally, he votes no if he isn't given sufficient time to study a bill. So I applaud him voting no on these bills, even if their titles sing of rainbows and lollipops. And even if the bill funds "necessary government functions" which are used to mask a mountain of pork or some unconstitutional expansion of federal powers. Thank you Congressman Amash for having the courage to vote NO when something doesn't smell right.[/h]
