We lost this election because of the lack of MSM coverage and their disrespect of our candidate. What can be done about it? Take the $20 million in federal matching funds. We don't have to use it if we don't need it. We can just keep it in the bank in case we do. We could give it back if we don't need it, but have it just in case.

One problem - principle consistency. Imagine how the MSM would react if Ron Paul did take that money.

I hope to heavens Dr. Paul doesn't take the money. If there is one sure thing he has going for him it is consistent principles.

Its for a good cause. Take that cash and invest it in freedom. Americans need to be educated.

I do agree we are losing because of the lack of coverage....we just can't reach as many people.

The good news is we have a great candidate who, without any news coverage, can gain as much support as a one time 'front runner' with tons of it.

It just makes me ill that media will choose our president.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. It comes from voter donations anyway.

It could be used for public education infomorcials on why big government sucks, and most of the people that gave that money would vote for Hillary or McCain. Id take it.

HELL YES !!! Take it !! I've been checking yes to that stupid ass box for 21 years !! You have my permission !!

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matching_funds , comes from the Federal Gov't (I wish I could find more info on where they get the money for this).

So, lets say I donated $300 to Ron Paul, couldn't the matching funds be seen as being taken out of my contribution to the Federal Government? Where I donate $300 out of my own pocket, and $300 out of the taxes I've paid somewhere along the line. I would definately prefer $300 of my tax money going to this campaign than to the countless other places they'd spend it.

I'd take the money. He's been consistent, but he's used the system to get money for his constituents for decades. It's not against his principals.

People, remember about the donations from the racist dude in Florida? The principle is the same. Why leave the 20m in the government for misuse. Ron Paul would have much better use.

Yes take it and we all make a pledge to check that little presidential campaign box on our effing Tax Forms.

would that work?

But where does that money really come from ie what part of the budget?

Ok.

Thing is that came from OUR taxes.

Basically if Dr Paul takes the money some of your taxes went to him, instead of the war.

Take it.

Could the money possibly be spent on a better cause. Its not even money that was taken by force. It was volunteered by people for this exact purpose. Right here is the 23 million he needs. There is no way we are going to raise that much by Feb.
