It isn't the government's job to take care of anyone. And they ALWAYS screw it up. And they have no resources with which to do it even with a total dismantling of the world empire.

Of course a President Paul could unilaterally end the world empire as CIC, but would need the cooperation of Congress to eliminate most domestic programs, so the end to the wars would come first.

Obamacare takes care of big Pharma and the first draft was written by an executive who took leave of absence from Wellpoint. It doesn't 'take care of' the American people in a GOOD way.

We do have the resources,we have the best doctors in the world, my doctor(s) treat me like I'm a piece of gold, and guess what, I get free health care.(through a state program). Every single candidate gets asked this question and I think ron paul should address it directly, if he has please direct me to it. Does Ron Paul care about the poor?

Free....free does not exist except in some limited liberal mindset..
I do not have insurance and I get treated fine. I find a Doc that will work for a cash paying customer. I almost always get a substantial discount. I would most likely be classified a "poor" person. I choose not to get screwed by taking action. I also choose not to screw my fellow countrymen and force them to pay for my healthcare.

A ton of people are being forced to pay a ton more for healthcare. In Mass they were considering letting those over 50 'opt out of the mandate' because health insurance became unaffordable. But before Romney care those people had health insurance and were able to afford it. I read an article on it when Obamacare was being considered. Insurance immediately stopped covering stuff and prices already high went up. That is only free to a few at the expense of everyone else.

defunding isn't enough. There are things in it that are unacceptable they don't spend money on -- like the national sales tax of 3% if you sell your home -- just tons of stuff.

I already know what you are going to say before you say it. My free healthcare is funded from private donations so nobody is getting screwed... except you when somebody who has a lot more money than you walks right in front of you in line and gets quality care while you get his leftovers. Do you really think the measly amount of money you paid your doctor covered his nurse or his receptionist, or lab testing, or meds? Yeah probably not... so what will happen is that doctor will be nonexistent because he can no longer survive. I guess the only option is to not get sick?
