Love this idea! I have also pledged to the debate game. Did someone send this to steven colbert. I think he would love this idea too and maybe he would put it in the show before the debate if we could get it to him in time.

The some thing should be done for the democratic debate along the same lines for Ron Paul.

Every time anybody mentions the word change....

Talks about the issue of race or sex by stating it's not an issue then goes on to mention how the other two candidates are not either the same sex or race as the next.....

Every time Edwards says the word poor.....
etc.....

Just a suggestion, but I wouldn't put the limit on instances to "once per answer". If Rudy says Sept 11th four times in a single answer, I would count that as four bucks... just to point out how freaking many times the guy says that.

We have about 40 people signed up so far, but It has barely been up 24 hours - Lots of room and time to grow!

Also, don't forget to help count up the number of times each thing happens, then we can come to a wikipedia-like "truth by concensus" total.

I'm really looking forward to these next debates now. I'm gonna be laughing my head off everytime I hear a "phrase that pays".

Maybe after the Jan. 30th debate we can send a nice "thank you" email with a link to the debating game site to each of the other candidate's campaign HQs. Not before though -- we don't want to tip them off! Ahahahahahah!

this is funny(and a great idea). So who is going to verify the counts? I thought about $1 per Romney's "terrorist", but might go broke. Maybe I will go with huck's "honor"...still thinking about it...

Yeah, JiminNY misunderstood the name of the game at first, and came up with the "Dating Game" parody, which was so good that I had to change the name of the site to make it work. Left to my own devices, I would have done something around Groucho Marx's "secret word"
