Announcing RPF Project #1: Habersham Co Police Shaming (Baby Bou)

Count me in.

May I make two suggestions?

1.) Add some sort of line making it very clear that no police were held accountable either legally or financially. "Police shrug off any responsibility" or "No police held responsible" or something along those lines. I know Terrell (the Sheriff) has been dismissive of the whole thing. Are there any direct quotes attributable to him expressing this sociopathic insensitivity?

2.) Include a donation link for Bitcoin.

"Tell me then, when you made entry into the home, were you all able to find this person?"

"No, he was not home. He had left. That's the, heh, unfortunate part of it, he had left."

Obviously, this went terribly wrong in the sense that this child, um, you know... not knowing that there were any kids in the home, having done y'all's research to figure out who was in there... I mean, what can you say, what can you do, what has GBI come through any kind of, um, investigation as to how everyone went about their business? ([sic]... The question was in regards to has there been any determination or outcome to the investigation (that had not yet occurred)

I called, I called our D.A. and talked to him about the whole scenario--everything that happened--Brian Rickman, and laid out the whole, from how we got there to what happened and he said... his words were, 'You know, you followed your protocol. You know, if you get the same information about another subject, would you do the same thing?' And the answer is yes. They followed protocol and they did exactly what they would do in the same scenario. So he says, 'There's nothing to investigate.'

"The officers that went through it didn't deserve this either."

He is referring to the officers that blew the hole in the chest of the infant. How traumatizing it was for them.

The whole thing is rather amazing. I can't watch any more of that fat, hillbilly, bumpkin.

I don't know if it's still up on youtube, but if someone wants to find more quotes, by all means, have at it.

If it's not still on youtube let me know and I'll upload it.

Packages start at $1500, but go WAY up in more populated markets.

I'm guessing that is plenty negotiable. There's a good chance you would be dealing with a sales on rep working on commission.

I'm a bit concerned about the color of the words "Police State". I can all but see people trying to make that out if moving and getting in an accident. -t

My brother worked in graphics and said that black on yellow is the most effective contrast to grab and keep attention. It makes sense to me.

I would also suggest not being to wordy, especially for a billboard on the highway. Interstate travelers won't be able to process more than a handful of words. Billboard words at traffic lights are also very minimal.

Don't forget the power of contrast. It has a much stronger effect and also gives people a point of reference. You often need little to few words. The downside is that two pictures takes a little bit longer for the brain to process.

I've been AWOL for a few days. What's the latest on this? Any final design, possible locations, and is anyone collecting donations yet?

Is there a donation link for this project here at RPF? Or are you talking about the donation link in support of the family and their expenses at http://justiceforbabyboubou.com/ ?

RPF billboard project, post 35 of this thread.

I'm on a windows pc and it displays a flash page to click on which takes me to a donation page. I sent $20.

I could do more. It was kind of a test. I suggest learning more about how to present this type of stuff. :D

Hey, thanks! I'm not sure how I managed to miss post #35. Weird.

Anyway, I'm in for an initial contribution of $20. I found that "Pitch-In" site to be a tad... odd... so I didn't want to throw in too much on the first round. This seemed to work for me on a PC laptop, so I'll be in for more shortly.

Has the final messaging been selected for this?
I drove through several states over the holidays, and had an idea regarding this project.
