An Open Letter to the Ron Paul Communities Regarding Lawyers for Ron Paul

Last week, I decided to support and volunteer as a process server for LFRP because I felt that their efforts were worthwhile in the pursuit of the cause of liberty and for the possibility of Dr. Paul still becoming the next president of our withering country.

This was a purely personal decision, based on the same logic that I used to determine who I would support for president in 2012; at this moment, I feel this is the best course of action.

In 2008 I voted for Barack Obama. I used that same logic then to make that choice.

I thought he was the best choice.

I had not really heard about Dr. Paul back then. I wasn’t really into politics.

This time around I decided to listen to different voices. A local radio host here in Baltimore, the late Ron Smith of WBAL talked about Ron Paul. I listened and I checked him out. I think, for me, what I saw and liked most about Dr. Paul was that he seemed to be a real person.

That is what I try to be in my own life. I try to be authentic, to stand up for what I believe in and to be honest about why I do. I try to do what I think is right and what I think makes the most sense.

When I first heard about LFRP and their lawsuit a couple of weeks ago, I was more excited about the campaign than I had been, I think, since New Hampshire.

Here, to me, was a real legitimate chance to make progress for the campaign, for the people who have fought for it, and for the rights of every American to be able to vote for whom they truly believe should be voted for.

We live in a world of rules and consequences that, in my opinion, restrict more than liberate. My conscience is not to be regulated by anyone other than myself. If I could not act from my own conscience, I don’t know that life would be worth living.

Five days ago, after having already expressed days before to LFRP my opinion that they needed to reach out to the grassroots directly, I decided that I didn’t think it was prudent to wait any longer for that to happen. I decided to try and encourage the Ron Paul community to evaluate, discuss, and decide whether to support LFRP and their lawsuit. So, I decided, completely on my own, to try and get that process started.

I tried to work the message boards but was completely overwhelmed. I think overall it had a positive effect.

But yesterday, after my second day spent driving to Annapolis, Maryland to attempt to serve the Chairman of the Republican Party of Maryland papers for the lawsuit, I told the person from LFRP with whom I had been first been in touch exactly what my other initial reaction, besides joy, was to their lawsuit had been when I first saw it.

LFRP needs to be in contact directly with the grassroots, or they will not trust LFRP.

After our conversation, I drove back home and took a quick nap. When I woke up, the conference call had been scheduled.

This is the biggest gift I have given the liberty movement.

Whether you think it is worth anything is up to you.

I truly believe that this lawsuit has the potential to be the biggest thing to happen in American politics in my lifetime.

But that is what I believe.

All I want from you is to, please, seriously evaluate this lawsuit and get some questions together for the conference call.

Please discuss the case and your questions and participate on Wednesday.

I don’t want you to do it for me. I want you to do it for the possibilities of what could happen with this lawsuit, all of them.

I don’t care if you are against the lawsuit or for it.

I want you to hunt down the truth.

It is truth that sets us free.

I said to the representative from LFRP:

“If your lawsuit is aligned with what the grassroots supports, they will support you. If it doesn’t, they will tear you apart.”

So, it’s up to you.

I am not here to tell you what to think about it. I will be, as I have been, evaluating it myself. I am not a lawyer. I can not predict what the outcome of this lawsuit will be.

But one of the things I pride myself on and value most in life is identifying what possibilities lie ahead. I try to evaluate things as objectively as I can to see exactly what good can come.
Only you can determine for yourself whether this lawsuit is worthy of support. I personally believe it is. But that is my opinion.

All I am asking of you is, please, take advantage of this opportunity to look at the possibilities that this lawsuit could have.

I am not asking you to support it. I am asking you to examine it and make up your own mind.

The convention is just around the corner.

Decisions will be made.

If this case has the potential to make an impact, the liberty movement needs to understand what that impact could be.

But we don’t have much time.

So please find out information about the case, come up with questions for the conference call, post your opinions on forums, and call in to radio shows.

Just please try to think about what this could be and determine for yourself whether or not you should support it.

Thank you.

Christopher Robin Shelley

A couple days ago people were questioning the OP's motivations with proclaiming to be our fearless leader. Now I'm beginning to think they were on to something.

What was your logic for voting for Obama? And why do you feel the need to rub that in our face?

I recommend you put the time and call in number for the lawyer's call in the OP.

Folks, the call is your opportunity. This is a guy who just believes in the law suit. The attorney of record will be on the call tomorrow. Please write down the top two or three questions you have and join the call.

It does. He's that much of a nut job AND a delegate hunter.

And how is this constructive or even remotely supportive? As far as questions for the lawyers and since ol' Christopher seems to be on a first name basis, can you ask for a list where they need support? This should help minimize repetitive/similar questions.

I've done all I can for right now. I've given everything I had to the r3volution and I'm proud of what I've done. I'm going to take a break from the joys of these forums. I did everything I could and I am happy knowing that I will always fight for what I believe in.

The r3volution has revitalized my soul. It has turned my life around in personal ways that I no longer feel comfortable sharing on these boards.

On July fourth, I will be volunteering for Eric Knowles in Towson, Maryland. I will continue to fight for liberty my way.

Thanks for all of the kindness I received here over the past months. Thank you also for the negativity. It has made me a stronger, better person.

God Bless you, God Bless Dr. Paul, God Bless America, and God Bless us all.

Sorry for the negativity. You might want to stop in after the conference call, and thank you very much for getting that set up.

Otherwise, see you later.

I don't see where he rubbed it in anyone's face. He just stated that Obama is who he voted for last go around and that it was because he didn't know about Ron Paul yet. I'm sure many people have a similar story.

Are you going to answer my question from page 1?

After all the lawsuit promotion you've done you're going to stop participating on this forum entirely now before anything has actually happened? My bs detector on this whole thing continues to peg at MAXIMUM.

Christopher, it was an amazing thing for LFRP to get involved like they have and I want you to know I appreciate your becoming involved as a liason. Thank you very much for taking your time and the initiative to do what you've done. No guarantees I know, but without LFRP, there would be zero chance to pull this off. We still have "a chip and a chair" as they say in poker and I will be there to support my brothers & sisters in liberty till we get the job done!

Sniff, sniff

Good riddance.

Am I missing something -- is that a joke or just a really mean comment?

Add - why some many paranoid comments? Does anyone feel as though we have anything to lose with LFRP?
