Wikileaks posted almost nothing on their own site that wasn't first published by one of their media partners (NY Times, Der Spiegel, Le Monde, et al). Wikileaks published them second, using the redactions the papers used.
There are no bones about it. What the government is trying to claim will literally outlaw investigative journalism. It will literally make the entire industry illegal if they are able to successfully prosecute Wikileaks.
This is why they are treating Bradley Manning so inhumanely. If they can't break him and get him to claim Wikileaks or Assange seeked out the classified information then they have nothing to go on.
The fact that so many people still dont realise that Wikileaks is New World Order bullshit tells me (once again) that the sad reality is that the masses dont deserve freedom...
BTW...Assange (the asshole) is totally collectivist, just search the net.

You are not looking at the real issue. It's not about Assange's character. Since when do you determine who deserves freedom?
I've looked at both sides and think slandering wikileaks as being part of some ambiguous NWO group is bologna. Be more specific if you're going to make a claim like that.
