ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Unscientific entrance polls conducted by Channel 2 News indicate that Mitt Romney may hold an edge tonight in the Alaska Republican preference polls here in Anchorage.

Of 339 registered voters, 163 claimed to support Romney, while 88 supported Ron Paul.

Further, 54 voters intend to support Mike Huckabee and 34 support McCain.

Polls closed at 12:30 ET, its been an hr and ten minutes and not one district has reported. That seems a little odd, even if the turnout was larger. Everything tonite pretty much started reporting thirty minutes after the close of voting.

We really need a 1st place here so CNN can't ignore it like they did not showing MT.

Sounds like Romney is going to buy his 1st place finish in Alaska. MF'R.

A sweeping win would be better. I'd love to demolish the others with 60% or more. The article quoted above makes that seem unlikely. But, it was just one location.

they'll still ignore us, even if we took a landslide victory in Alaska.....they'd do 1 of 2 things:

-ignore the State completely
-mention that a fringe candidate won the state
-Say "Romney placed in ahead of McCain" and "forget" about Ron Paul.

-Mention that the turn out was at a historical low and that the Alaska GOP has already dismissed the inaccurate results.

Sad but true. My wife has become as disgusted as me about it as it has become more than obvious. Did CNN really ignore the entire state of Montana! That takes balls to be that blatent.

The enemy is strong, indeed!

wow... what an utter disappointment...

it is like Maine all over again... promises... letdowns... =o/
