Activism: Graham, McCain, and Benghazi

It's really frustrating to watch the Usual Suspects get in front of the camera on the Benghazi issue when anyone one could see, including Rand Paul, that it was a bad idea to force a regime change in Libya. They-- with Obama--created the problem and now when it becomes obvious they rush to criticize and "provide a solution".

Benghazi was a disaster waiting to happen. "Hey guys here's a great idea let's overthrow a government using Islamist rebels. What could possibly go wrong!". It reminds me of when Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were put in charge to reform the financial system after they caused it to disintegrate with their policies.

So every time I see (mostly) Graham, McCain and sometimes Ayotte putting their faces in front of the camera I'm going to remind the interviewer via twitter or email of where they stood and where guys like Rand Paul stood. I hope that the audiences will see that the the Obama/McCain/Graham foreign intervention--like the Dodd-Frank economic intervention -- is just another government program that went wrong. That the people who caused it are now the ones tinkering for a solution for a problem they created.

Below are some background facts.

McCain, Graham calling for Libya intervention and whining about Obama not moving fast enough.

“The point now is, let’s get behind this effort, do everything we can to support it. And I say to my friends in the Congress who are nervous about another intervention, I’m confident we can prevail, and I’m confident that if we hadn’t have taken this action that the consequences of failure would have reverberated for years.”
