ABC Article about Ron Paul tweet

the tweet still makes me laugh though, and I think its 100% legit to stick your tongue out after all that crap.

nice save, but according to ABCnews the tweet was deleted and then repost.
No, it was deleted, but people had screenshots and posted those. I was following the story on twitter last night when it happened.

Silly tweet, I hope someone loses their keys to the twitter machine. Ron Paul would never say that shit!

I'd buy that, it makes sense. It definitely seems like something someone would make on their personal twitter account.

I'm fucking amazed that the media is making a big deal over bullshit like this though. My god, are we spared NOTHING??!!

you shouldn't be surprised. The media will never allow him to win. They will continue and it will get worse. There goal is to make sure we do not place 1st or 2nd and they will use all resources to make it happen.

lol dumbass media. They really hate Ron Paul to make a big deal over an innocuous, funny and true tweet.

It was counter to the campaigns message. Huntsman has a lot of people in NH sympathetic to Ron that were just insulted along with Huntsman.

If Huntsmann places ahead of us in NH, this tweet is gonna be a big deal.

Not good imo. Funny at the time, but going to rip us apart if specific things occur.

Indeed. A lot of people seem to believe Huntsman will be the next flavor of the week. If he takes off even for a short time, this stupid tweet could blow up in our faces.

Since when is a "snarky tweet" a bad thing?

The only bad thing here is the PR coordination/management, not the tweet

the tweet was a juvenile act on behalf of some kid too heady with watching early results to have better judgment, imho. The more experienced hands were likely otherwise occupied.

On the other hand, Huntsman has been trashing Ron in ads in NH so it won't look like Ron is going after him out of nowhere. But it is hitting down, big time. Huntsman has retreated to single digits and this gives him attention.

I'd still pin it on communication/coordination. If a tweet is deleted voluntarily without it causing reaction then that should be emphasized (i.e. not much of an explanation is necessary and Paul spokesman Gary Howard was wrong to make a bigger deal out of it by communicating about the twitter account allegedly being hacked... etc etc (sounds defensive and that is not needed now)

It was a joke, perhaps uncharacteristic of Paul and therefore unnecessary and therefore voluntarily deleted, that's it! Instead, use the opportunity to ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK and be on the OFFENSIVE about the Fed or whatever. That will shut up any reporter.
