A Win in Iowa will be heard around the world

Yes, Ron Paul gets the most international traffic, but that's because fairly few people really care about the 2012 elections.

I know from speaking with some Europeans that the Tea Party Movement has been branded as a bunch of crazies over there. And while there are some "crazies" out there, the overall message rings true.

Well, tbh, I do believe that the Tea Party has been hijacked by big governemt statists like Palin and Bachmann, so to a degree it rings true.. It's best to disassociate Ron Paul from the tea party 'round here.

During the last debate I was following twitter, and I saw atleast 30 other Dutch people tweeting about Ron Paul and supporting him, liberty already is spreading. :)

There's a little libertarian movement here in NL. The VVD even has a libertarian faction. It's just really unorganized and they seem to be more the hedonistic Reason/Cato kinda libertarians who are pro-business first and pro-freedom second. Not the other way around. It's kinda hard to convince people that libertarianism is humane when your posterboys are carbon copies of Wayne Allyn Root.

Srsly, though. As a whole, NL is very unfriendly to libertarian ideals. Though it may be different in the Randstad, but I live in Enschede and the first thing people ask themselves about ANYTHING is how they can get the government involved.

I live in Amsterdam, no difference here really, hope that will change when Ron Paul gets elected though.

Switzerland loves Ron Paul!
We have a libertarian think tank which cooperates with the mises institute: http://www.libinst.ch/?i=home--en
Some members of parliament over here in Switzerland have already endorsed Ron Paul :)
Their party is run by a bunch of collectivists, though

... and it seems Ron Paul also likes Switzerland

It seems like Romney didn't care who won Iowa as long as he finished second and that Ron Paul was not the winner. Now that it looks like Ron Paul could win Iowa, Romney is terrified and is putting more resources into an Iowa win, which takes away from resources focused on New Hampshire. I will be shooting fireworks in my neighborhood if Ron Paul wins Iowa and Romney somehow finishes THIRD! That could be a death knell of sorts for Romney.

I agree. If Paul gets 1st and Romney somehow gets 3rd, that would probably be the end of him in NH.

Who would be the ideal candidate to take 2nd in Iowa? I am thinking either Bachmann or Santorum.

I think the ideal candidate to take 2nd would be someone that didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the nomination. Santorum seems to fit that bill.

Yeah. I don't think Bachmann or Santorum stand a chance.

Bravo Switzerland!

I am Serbian, we have small but very energetic group of libertarians. Here is a documentary our friends from Libek have made:

If When Ron Paul wins and changes foreign policy, it will be great opportunity for us to spread the message of liberty in our country.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a beautiful message. Thank you for writing it. Yes - Put your trust in God. Ron Paul is just a messenger. It's not up to him or up to us or up to God alone. We are all partners in creation, and therefore partners in victory. We are the people, Ron Paul is the messenger, and God is, of course, God.

And the best thing is, we're all on the same side.

This also is a beautiful message. Thank you for this, too. :)

Got to like ^this. :D

Welcome.

Amazing in this day and age, with all the ways that we have to communicate, we are still so isolated. We should be hearing real news from across the pond, and vice-versa, but we have been closed off from real communication so long that people do not seem to care what is known in Europe about us and vice-versa. This is the way the PTB want it, but it can be so easily changed if people would just wake up and talk with one another.

Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed watching it and seeing the problems these Serbians are trying to work through as they try to leave socialism behind and strive for a more libertarian, free market society.

Worth the time to watch. :)

Great to see Serbians are waking up as well :)

I agree.

Yesterday I wore my Ron Paul hoodie and a friend said, "Do you think he can beat Romney?" So, IF he can beat Romney in Iowa, that should make some headlines, and the people who don't really pay attention to politics (like my friend) will be made aware that indeed, Ron Paul IS a viable candidate.

As a clue to how uninvolved in politics my friend is, she said she "kinda liked Herman Cain." I told her that the conversation should probably stop at that point, since I valued her friendship. LOL She admitted that she wasn't really following it like I was.

Winning Iowa would be MAJOR.

The media will be pulling out all the stops to downplay a Iowa win, should it happen. It may be frustrating for many of us and may prove surreal. But I hope not. I can imagine many in the MSM saying that it's significance is that "the road to the nomination now appears secure for Mitt Romney, as no viable candidate seriously challenged the governor here in Iowa...." etc. etc.

But hopefully what we will see instead is a tipping point and a break in the levee of the establishment opposition. The People rise up and decide the election is theirs to decide, not the media arm of the military-industrial-banking complex.

Yep, which is exactly why we need a win or at least a strong second in New Hampshire to truly establish credibility in the face of media dismissals.

I agree that Iowa win could be the start of a dream run, but I would like all you guys to be a bit real too !! Be ready, Huckabee example will be given to death on all stations - "RP wins Iowa by a narrow margin, but he can't win the nomination, just like Huckabee didnt - the real thing to watch out is that Romney came third even with very little attention he paid to Iowa. Newt seems to hold on to his frontrunner position by coming fourth and he could give Romney a run for his money in NH and SC".
I wont like to dampen your spirits, but dont expect the MSM to suddenly declare RP as the messiah, which he really is - a messiah of liberty, peace and prosperity. We would need a strong 2nd in NH (if not a first) and then something big in SC (which most probably Newt will take). NV could be good for us, but probably FL would seal the deal on who the MSM decides is going to be the frontrunner and nominee.

Get to work, talk to people in public places, malls, etc, distribute literature, go door to door, at least do phone from home !! These things will make the difference. RP is doing good in Iowa due to this and despite the MSM. So please be practical and do something for Liberty. This is the month to do it. No excuses.

“armies cannot stop an idea whose time has come.” Ron Paul quoting Victor Hugo.
