Yes, Ron Paul gets the most international traffic, but that's because fairly few people really care about the 2012 elections.
Well, tbh, I do believe that the Tea Party has been hijacked by big governemt statists like Palin and Bachmann, so to a degree it rings true.. It's best to disassociate Ron Paul from the tea party 'round here.
There's a little libertarian movement here in NL. The VVD even has a libertarian faction. It's just really unorganized and they seem to be more the hedonistic Reason/Cato kinda libertarians who are pro-business first and pro-freedom second. Not the other way around. It's kinda hard to convince people that libertarianism is humane when your posterboys are carbon copies of Wayne Allyn Root.
Srsly, though. As a whole, NL is very unfriendly to libertarian ideals. Though it may be different in the Randstad, but I live in Enschede and the first thing people ask themselves about ANYTHING is how they can get the government involved.
I know from speaking with some Europeans that the Tea Party Movement has been branded as a bunch of crazies over there. And while there are some "crazies" out there, the overall message rings true.

During the last debate I was following twitter, and I saw atleast 30 other Dutch people tweeting about Ron Paul and supporting him, liberty already is spreading.![]()
