My best hope for success was for Ron Paul to do the necessaries for a write in status, but apparently that will not happen. I really wish he would reconsider,(although I don't have the heart to pressure him)because I know as more people became aware he was still running, they planned to vote for him. The people I have told about him dropping out are so discouraged, they had so counted on getting him for the next president. I don't think Ron Paul ever expected people to feel so intensely about him and his message as they have. The general public thinks Obama has charisma, but if the media hadn't blacked him out, he would be so far in the lead right now, the dems probably wouldn't even bother voting. I have read so many Obama supporters comments and they liked Ron Paul too-freedom appeals to everyone, no matter the party.

on an independent ticket would shake things up. Too bad people are not willing to see this idea through. No one has more respect and name recognition than JV and RP The media would almost have to run with this story.
The two candidates are boring and untrustworthy.
48% of people are not happy with current selection of candidates and are undecided.
Hillary's bunch is split and looking for an alternative.
If the LP,CP would step aside and support this ,it would be the ticket of the century.
I am disappointed by the whole thing. RP said that as long as the support and the enthusiasm was there,he would run.
We do not have until 2012. People need to break out of the false left/right paradigm and see the trouble coming down the path.
I did not come here to change a corrupt party or to raise a few eyebrows. I came here to see an honest man get elected president.
