A Grim Reminder About Gaza: 100 Kilotons Is Roughly Seven Hiroshimas

The annihilation of Gaza is staggering.

Israel has dropped more than 100,000 tons of bombs on Gaza. That’s 100+ kilotons. The Hiroshima bomb was roughly 15 kilotons. That means the small area of Gaza has been punished by bombing that is the equivalent in explosive force to seven Hiroshimas.

More than 60,000 Palestinians in Gaza are confirmed dead; the actual number of dead may be twice or three times that number. The number of wounded is likely more than 100,000. (Who can say, exactly, given the level of destruction and disruption in Gaza?)

How is this level of destruction in any way justifiable or defensible?

Gaza is already almost destroyed. The Israeli government’s intent is clear: after rendering Gaza uninhabitable, the Palestinians remaining there will be pushed out, displaced, removed. Or they will die, in place, from more bombing as well as starvation and disease.

The U.S. government has enabled this by supplying Israel all the bombs it needs to pulverize Gaza. The U.S. government has also provided diplomatic cover as well as military protection as Israel implements its final solution to the Gaza question.

Some claim this isn’t genocide because Israel isn’t marching Palestinians to gas chambers.

Articles continues:

If you don't have air superiority you have to fight in trenches in the ground and go down inside holes in the ground and get ensnared in traps so without a bombing campaign there would be 5 dead Israelis to one Hamas fighter.

So basically they would have to theoretically have 2.5 million dead. There couldn't be a victory at that point. It would be a bloodbath.

A pyyric victory isn't a true victory.

The Soviets fought like that in World War 2. They lost 27 million.

If you have the air power you use it.

Stealing even a relatively small amount of land requires a lot lot of booms

It's pure evil.

There's this newer trend of comparing the Izraelis to the Nazis.

And it's not just on alternative websites.

I'm starting to see this theme emerge on damn near every platform.

The fuckers nuked Syria 100%.

In addition to dropping 1000+ US bombs.

The nazis waged total warfare and took over half of Europen in 6 months.

They killed 60 million people.

Comparing Israel's defensive war with the Nazis must be sort of a joke.

They have been in a war for several decades now basically since they declared independence and got attacked by several countries at once and the amount of people in that region of the world has increased by 600 million.

I'd have a lot more sympathy for Gaza if it's inhabitants weren't hell bent on taking Jerusalem and destroying Israel.

Palestinian independence movements never went anywhere because that was never a real goal, and because "Palestine" is a made up word with no actual cultural identity.

Their only cultural distinction is being a nuisance and a threat

They are far, far worse. The Nazis provided shelter, food, health, even entertainment and swimming pools to the camps.
They allowed visitors from other groups like the Red Cross. They were doing this in a broader war stop Bolshevik communism
and revolution against their own country. They never bombed hospitals, schools, and universities. There is no comparison.
The only problem is too many believe in lies. Every damn day the Israelis hit their quota.

It's really only your own lack of knowledge that's displayed by that opinion. The Palestinians offered to recognize Israel multiple times in the past. Israel always refused because Israel under Netanyahu and the right refuse to accept a Palestinian state. They want the damn land and they want it for their own people. They want the site of the Temple and they want the West Bank which they refer to as Judea and Samaria. Plus much more.

Activities like conscription to fight in a war to invade the Soviet Union, and forced slave labor building V2 rockets all day and night and killing the slowest workers to motivate the rest of them to work faster?

Mass slaughter of 60 million while stealing blonde hair blue eyed children is better?

The couple of times they pretended to be willing to do that was to get a cease fire.

They've been pretty consistent otherwise in their claim on Jerusalem and usually also the destruction of Israel lol

Even today the PLO claims Jerusalem as their capital. That's entirely inconsistent with a goal of peace

Texan, Israel agreed that Jerusalem would be a shared capital. Jerusalem is supposed to be a place governed by
the Palestinians, Israelis and the Christian churches who own property there. These are the agreements Israel signed
at its foundation. They are the ones breaking their promises, nobody else.

Maybe like fucking decades ago but its pretty obvious now that they aren't gonna share Jerusalem so they need to deal with that reality

I find it ironic that you're criticizing diplomatic facts as somehow anachronistic when they mere mere decades old -
while simultaneously arguing that the so-called Jews of today have a divine mandate to lands they haven't controlled in well over
two millennia, and even before that, lost twice.

Not sure if joking

But that is the magical beauty of TheTexican.

We dropped more bombs and killed more people in Iraq. I feel like maybe we were a little more targeted in our direct strikes and probably Israel wins when it comes to dead women and babies, but if you count disease and famine (secondary effects of infrastructure destruction) we're probably still ahead there as well.

Even the idea, that people want to compare it to Hiroshima is ironic. Implication is still that "These people are worse than the Americans!" lol.

But they're not. They're just an ugly appendage we use for dirty work. Even if it's true that "Israel has compromised officials" doesn't make us less evil, just makes us more weak.

Jews don't have a divine mandate to shit, but they currently occupy the land and they fought a war to do so.

Unless the "Palestinians" want to fight a full fledged war to take it back, they have lost their claim to it. One of the prerequisites of a Just War however is the ability to win that war, and the "Palestinians" have demonstrated no such capability. They have only demonstrated the capability for murder.
