We had our Meetup group banner wave for MLK day today.

Over the weekend, the group hung 30+ overpass banners. Evidently people were calling the local ABC affiliate asking what's going on. So the local ABC affiliate came out and interviewed Paulites and filmed for over 30 minutes at the MLK sign waving.

We passed out over 1000 slim jims to passerbys.

The news just lead into the program with the RP teasers first thing. It was a sweet 30 second spot with a very positive tone.

Check out the pics from the event:

I was at that sign wave. It was so much fun and I even saw myself on TV. I hope someone got a youtube of it. It was on Channel 5 in Cleveland OH.

Thank you so much for your hard work! We would be no where in this campaign if it weren't for people like you.

Thanks again, from a fellow buckeye!

It was nice to see you there Red. I know one of the organizers DVR'd it as did I. We just need to find someone local that has the hardware to pull it off the DVR.

This is absolutely the best way to get press for Ron Paul. Remember the book by Tip O'Neill that ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL.

If all Ron Paul supporters tackled their local news media outlets (radio, newspaper, television) then it wouldn't matter so much that the national media wasn't involved.

Tackle the towns around where you live too. Waving signs WORKS. Calling into local talk radio shows WORKS. Letters to the editors WORK.

When you go out to dinner hand out Ron Paul business cards. Do it at sporting events and other functions. You'd be surprised what a conversation starter they are.

Hold your MeetUp meetings at local businesses, ask to hang a sign in their window. Be creative!

Great job Ohio!!!
