I'm Wade and I live in Iowa. I am bringing 8 freinds with me to the straw poll in August and I am trying to recruit more everyday. For weeks all you hear about in the news is how Michelle Bachman is leading in the polls here in the Hawkeye state. I don't believe it for a second. I have talked to so many people that are supporting Dr Paul this go around it is astonishing. I have had the feeling that the polls are not showing the real presence of Ron Paul supporters in Iowa.

For weeks I have been sporting some super sweet Ron Paul signs in my front yard and out by my mailbox. I was leaving to go get some groceries today and noticed some stuff in the news paper slot in my mailbox. I don't get a Sunday paper so i thought this was strange. I pulled out a Sunday edition Des Moines Register and the following note.....

Thought I would just share my experience with the rest of you. This one act made me feel like we are going to own the straw poll and really kick this campaign into high gear. Thanks Jed if your out there!

Great story and thank you for sharing, Wade! I delivered the DM Register back when kids still would do it, so this is extra cool for me to hear!

Welcome Wade!!! Your story made my day!!

Awesome news guys! How did you get so many others to attend with you?

Dr Paul's message kind of speaks for itself. We just had a bunch of friends that had the right frame of mind at the right time, plus I told my wife if she didn't attend I would stop opening jars and taking out the trash. I think this is the mood of the country right now too. Once someone actually gives the message a chance, they can't really argue with it, but you can't force it.

Thanks for all of the positive responses, I thought it was a story that most would get a kick out of.

So do you think showing the undated For Liberty documentary at a theater in town would be successful? I mean would people attend, and would it motivate them to go to Ames?

I couldn't tell you that for sure. That movie is what made me side with the good Doctor. Getting people to go and watch it will be the biggest challenge.

+rep, thank you so much for sharing! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU GUYS IN IOWA! And WELCOME to the forums!
