What is this, a second vote for teh bailout???

The first vote was to put the Dodd Amendment (which is the bailout crap) to that one bill they plan on hijacking. Now they'll vote on passing the HR bill and then they'll send it back to the House or in a conference committee for a conference bill where they House and Senate will work out one bill.

Ahhh....I see (I think).

So, they passed an ammendment to the bill, now they're voting for the entire bill as ammended.

My question is this: If it didn't pass the house on Monday, why did it even go to the senate in the first place....I thought a bill had to pass the house BEFORE it could be passed to the senate, then if passed, would be sent to the prez.

Are they making up new rules as they go along here?

Because You have to be crazy to think this will help the economy. I wonder if the ever figured that the average american has any say so in the economy. I know I will I wont be buying crap for christmas and if I do buy something it will be something to horde for the collapse. Good by all you retail stores looks like the gun, ammo, storable food, & alternative energy business will be booming this year. I can't say that I miss You to much because i'll love to see the hot pocket generation run out of hot pockets.

They only way they can approve the spending bill is to basically violate the intent of the Constitution. The House is to originate spending bills...

So, they simply amended the bill to another bill that has already gotten House approval...
