I agree with allowing an open debate about questions of the veracity of 9/11, after all we all want to know what the truth is. I simply believe that our government is incompentent in its primary duty of security.

Though I recall that after the Soviet Union collapsed our military was looking for a new 'purpose' and so we went into the nation building and were more than happy to find war. Robert Higgs wrote a book Crisis and Leviathan which basically supports the premise that the government likes to make crises out of things to grow bigger, so we have the 'war' on poverty, drugs, terrorism etc, until of course we fighting 'wars' on all fronts.

im a 9/11 truther, but i dont say it out loudly seeing how its not exactly a popular viewpoint. I support dr. paul no matter what he thinks of 9/11 and i think he nailed the question and made Faux look like a bunch of idiots

I think Ron Paul handled this question very well. I myself tend to take both sides of the issue. I believe that real terrorists flew those planes into the buildings, but I also believe that rogue elements within the government knew about their plans and capitalized on them (bombs in the buildings, etc. etc.). This has happened in the past, so there may be truth to both sides of the issue. At least Ron Paul is open to an investigation, and admits that the 9/11 Commission dropped the ball.

That said, 9/11 truthers should be free to express their opinions outside of the Paul campaign. While representing Ron Paul, we all need to be on our best behavior and not do anything that will make others reject the freedom message.

Bottom line, if we elect Ron Paul and stay true to his principles, we'll likely never have to worry about government conspiracy again -- the government would be so small, limited, and transparent that conspiracy would be a non-issue.

I'm not a truther by any means, but we should have a government that could NEVER be accused of such things...and right now, we don't.
