8 Killed in Shootings at 3 Atlanta Spas, Questions If Racism Due to COVID Was a Motive

No matter what anybody thinks of this story...this is funny.

Lol. :tears:

So true. They ain’t got no game.

Our trigger warning, PC, cancel culture has destroyed comedy. Good comedy often makes fun of people using stereotypes. It used to be the norm and all in good humor. I suppose making fun of white incels is the last acceptable target of comedy.

Biden: "I urge Congress to swiftly pass the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act"

Statement by President Biden on the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act
March 19, 2021 • Statements and Releases

Jill and I share the nation’s grief and outrage at the horrific killings of eight people, among them six Asian American women, in Georgia on March 16th.

While we do not yet know motive, as I said last week, we condemn in the strongest possible terms the ongoing crisis of gender-based and anti-Asian violence that has long plagued our nation. I urge Congress to swiftly pass the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, which would expedite the federal government’s response to the rise of hate crimes exacerbated during the pandemic, support state and local governments to improve hate crimes reporting, and ensure that hate crimes information is more accessible to Asian American communities. I thank Senator Hirono, Congresswoman Meng, and Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Chairwoman Chu for their consistent leadership on this issue — and for their persistence in standing up for America’s values by standing strongly against anti-Asian xenophobia and hate.

During my first week in office, I signed a Presidential Memorandum to condemn and combat racism, xenophobia, and intolerance against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. I directed the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services to help lead our nation’s efforts to stop anti-Asian bias, xenophobia, and harassment. Now, it’s time for Congress to codify and expand upon these actions — because every person in our nation deserves to live their lives with safety, dignity, and respect.

Sadly, this only works because we stopped teaching the constrained vision. We only teach the unconstrained.

To channel my inner Sowell for a moment... The unconstrained vision sees this and other shootings as a symptom of a societal problem that needs solved. The Left unconstrained vision may see it as racism, sex addiction, porn, or religious doctrine that needs to be pulled in. The Right unconstrained vision may see it as a sign of moral decay, sex addiction, bad government policies, or media influence. Whatever the case, the unconstrained vision believes if we just fix the world of those issues, these types of incidents would happen less frequently.

The constrained vision sees this incident as one in a long line of people snapping. The constrained vision believes that no matter how much you try to cleanse society of things that you think are bad, people will still snap. And when they do, there will be some reason behind it. Whatever the reason is, is immaterial, because there will always be some reason. To the constrained vision, the idea that you can permanently stop these things if you just get the policies right is silly wishful thinking.

The unconstrained see the constrained as ignoring the problem, while the constrained see the unconstrained as ignoring reality.

The problem we're seeing more and more in our society is that most don't even know the constrained vision exists. It becomes an argument of two different versions of the unconstrained vision. And whichever side has the power, will try to put their world-fixing policies in place at the expense of the other side. It's sad. Our education system doesn't even give the constrained vision a chance to be heard, or even considered as an option. And it plays bad on TV.

Yep! I agree 100%. One can only imagine what will happen to our society when the sexbots come online. (No pun intended).

They are already here. But mix it with Elon's Nueralink and transhumanism and we're in for a ride. We won't need anyone but ourselves and a bot.

For narcissists a bot of themselves.

Yes, imagine cloning yourself for sex.

LOL I'm not rich enough to buy a sexbot, although its probably cheaper in the long run than a human partner. LOL

The internet existed long before it became accessible to the average person. That's what I mean by "online." When someone gets the idea that, instead starting a "massage therapy" business, to buy some sex bots and rent them out by the hour. Actually, sounds like one helluva business idea for the 2020s. Wanna invest?

/sarcasm.....kinda

You know, a buddy of mine and I half heartedly joked about it. But I bet you could make a decent profit. Especially, marketed to the incel crowd and anyone really due to Covid lockdowns.

Now ^that is a very well written article! And yeah, this whole "anti Asian bias" thing seems in general ginned up and in this story it goes against the facts.

Excellent article by Andrew Sullivan. And it reinforces and supports what I said earlier:

What anyone's motives actually are (or are not) is no longer relevant. ("Intent does not matter" is the current Woke lingo for this.)
FTA (bold emphasis added):

What you see here is social justice ideology insisting, as Dean Baquet temporarily explained, that intent doesn’t matter. What matters is impact. The individual killer is in some ways irrelevant. His intentions are not material. He is merely a vehicle for the structural oppressive forces critical theorists believe in.

Also:

If at any point the question "Was this racist?" is asked (as it certainly will be), then the answer is automatically and always "Yes." From there, it is simply a matter of adapting or customizing a standard narrative template for "racism" in order to fit it to particulars.
FTA (bold emphasis & bracketed comment added):

The media is supposed to subject easy, convenient rush-to-judgment narratives to ruthless empirical testing. Now, for purely ideological reasons, they are rushing to promote ready-made narratives, which actually point away from the empirical facts. To run sixteen separate pieces on anti-Asian white supremacist misogynist hate based on one possibly completely unrelated incident is not journalism. It’s fanning irrational fear in the cause of ideological indoctrination. And it appears to be where all elite media is headed. ["Appears to be ... headed?" Rather, it is where the corporate media is already at. - OB]

And as an aside, there's this little tidbit from Sullivan's article (bold emphasis added):

In The Root, the real reason for the murders was detailed: “White supremacy is a virus that, like other viruses, will not die until there are no bodies left for it to infect. Which means the only way to stop it is to locate it, isolate it, extract it, and kill it.”

That's from a fetidly septic chunk of verbiage entitled "Whiteness Is a Pandemic" (see Sullivan's article for the source URL, because I'll be damned if I link to it).

Yet here is what Gina Carano posted online that got her fired from Disney - because in Disney's words, it is "abhorrent and unacceptable":

This is the world being engineered for us, and there will be consequences.

It can happen here - and the groundwork is already being laid.

Ideological particulars aside, Joseph Goebbels would be proud.

He'd be proud of the New York Times and the Washington Post. He'd be proud of Disney.

And he'd be proud of that raving bigot at The Root.

They are all his bastard offspring. They are all his spiritual children.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Occam's Banana again.

...
And when you hear about a 150 percent rise in one year, it’s worth noting that this means a total of 122 such incidents in a country of 330 million, of which 19 million are Asian.
...
A 50 percent increase in San Francisco from 2019 - 2020, for example, means the number of actual crimes went from 6 to 9.
...
2020 saw 122 such hate incidents. In 1996, the number was 350.

This is media created hysteria.

She is facing complete cancellation, saw news the other day that Disney was removing anything from thair programming where she appeared.

Even Netflix still shows Harvey Weinstein's name in credits and movies produced by him.
