$5 Million quarter may be doable - ticker is lagging -- per source from within campaign

I agree ron is doing better than last but against the current candidate we really need to step it up. We can't compare him now versus 08 because the entire election scene has totally changed. We have a CHANCE here BUT the amount of money needed to beat the establishment will keep us hustlin this election cycle for sure BUT well worth the hard work.

Let's keep getting volunteers and keep waking those people because every NEW VOTER is also a new donator! its a win win

Just purchased $31 of stuff at the store. I didn't really get an order confirmation though, only a donation confirmation. Hopefully that's how it's supposed to happen.

Here are your transaction details:
Donation amount: $31.00

Hey guys - just to clarify... if I buy stuff from the store right now, it goes toward the money bomb right?
Yes. Or at least, they'll go to the quarterly total reported to the FEC. Whether or not it shows up on the ticker, I don't know, but the FEC report is ultimately the more important number.

Purchases made from the Ron Paul 2012 PCC store are considered contributions to the Committee for Federal Election Commission purposes and will apply to an individual's $2500 per election limit. If you have already reached your maximum contribution level of $2500, please contact us for assistance.

Thats how it worked for me :)

It shows up on the ticker as well.
Thanks everyone.
Thinking about taking a few silver coins to local dealer and donating money by tonight.

We could really use that non recorded donation bump about now... are they just gonna flood the ticker at the last minute or what?

Bachmann also had a 'surge' in fundraising around the debate and likely by virtue of her announcement / polls. I expect her to do well, particularly when you add in the money she transfers.

She cannot transfer money legally over the maximum donation allowed so $2,500. That is all she can do other than send it to a non-profit which could in theory turn around and give her $5,000. In theory she could dump $6,000 for $5,000 to a ton of PACs, but that would result in a horrendous FEC investigation since the transactions are public. That said, I don't expect Bachmann to have more than $2 or 3 million this quarter.

Sounds about right. And he raised around $6 million in the third quarter. It wasn't until the 4th quarter that he started to raise big money last time.

..and by then it was too late. The time for big money is NOW. If anyone has been planning on maxing out, do it NOW. The campaign needs it now, where they still have enough time to figure out how to spend it== unlike last time.

Bachmann is going to have more money than people think. She is very adept at raising money, I think she raised $14 mil for her last congressional election. She could very well raise more money than us this Q.

Or she can do exactly what she did, which was essentially to "buy" the Leadership Institute to work for her "outside" of her official campaign.

Except she didn't announce until a week before the quarter ended, and her only public fundraiser... a money bomb was a money bust.

Her people told politico she is going to transfer $2 million from her congressional campaign. She is intentionally 'waiting to decide whether to run for congress' and doesn't have to decide until about a year from now.

Thank you!

Don't be coy... you were commemorating when the La Times editorial page had the following article endorsing Barry Goldwater on October 4th of 1964.
