36 Cheap American Beers, Ranked

Meh not a very detailed article. I buy microbrews nine times out of ten, but when I do grab a case of some crappy macro brew, taste isn't usually the deciding factor. ABV, price, and drinkability are usually more important than the actual beer quality. I typically go with either Yeungling because it's a local beer here, or budweiser because its 5%ABV for a low price and very drinkable.

In the US , I drink #18, started out Drinking #31 then on to #7 , then #22, now @ #18, :)

I don't know how you get worse than Budlight Lime. Keystone isn't a bad beer for the price.

I haven't heard of the majority of his top 36.

Drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon as we type.$14.xx a case.It was selected as America's Best in 1893,sez so right on the can.
I assume it still holds the title,I don't see any other Beers putting Blue Ribbons on their labels.

I like it on Draft, yes it was the best in America in 1893.

Keystone Light , $12.95 for 18 , 18 ounce :)

I think America has the best beers in the world. Belgium used to hold that honor but the past decade has seen some really nice craft brews in America.

Beer 30 is by far the worst. Game Day Ice would be a close 2nd.

Light American Lager is a style of beer, and just like any other style, there are good ones and bad ones. If you're too good to drink one once in a while, you're in the wrong country.

You are not missing much , none as good as a Dos Equis, or any German Monastary beer.

I take it you've never been to San Diego? I don't blame you if you haven't, it's a terrible place, but we have a plethora of great microbreweries around here.

Actually , San Diego is #1 in DUI's per capita in the US, the town I grew up in is also in the top ten , lol

I have been there , but not much , there are good micro brews all over the US , problem is , they all cost too much.....

Two of the best beers I ever had were the Christmas beer made at the Parkbrau brewery in Pirmasens Germany and another German beer called Reichelbrau.

I'm not a beer fan yet. The ones I've tried have been too bitter for my taste. I've been addicted to O'Mara's Irish Cream lately and not in the mood to experiment much. Maybe in the coming months.

If I'm looking for something cheap and easy to drink, Keystone Light, for sure...

I'm not a big fan of bitter beers either, but thankfully, there's many, many kinds of beers. Check out this chart, and avoid the ones with high IBU's:

I particularly am a fan of wheat beers. Weissbier, weizenbier, witbier (yum!). I haven't really found an american wheat that I was a big fan of.
