3 Reasons Ron Paul Should Drop Out of the Presidential Race

Happen to agree but RP isn't running to win anymore but to spread the message. He has a big enough block of supporters now they can't ignore him anymore. It is why I am coming around to a third party run. He is commanding enough votes now he would get into the fall debates and reach the indys and Dems that never listen to republican debates. The reason I was against it before is for Rands sake. But with 20 percent of the vote, playing punish Rand in 16 because of Ron would be a horrible mistake for the reps, because then they would break off that 20 percent even in congressional elections. The republican party is not in the position to punish the Paul's without completely destroying themselves.

Nobody seems to consider that Rand can run third party in 2016. Thus the GOP is screwed again unless they play ball. The idea the GOP will ruin Rand's career if Ron runs 3rd Party is laughable. If Ron runs 3rd Party in 2012 it will only INCREASE Rand's power and stature in the GOP in 2016.

I'm Only going to sing at President Paul's inauguration and that's final!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure where you get this. If Ron runs 3rd party, then the media will DESTROY Rand in 2016 claiming the EXACT same thing they've been claiming about Ron in this election, except they'll actually have something to back it up with! I'm not saying Rand still couldn't win in 2016, but given that there may be some very tough candidates to beat, it could easily hurt him enough to lose it.

Ron running 3rd party would be a lot of fun to see, as he would spread the message across America, but it would turn the GOP against him and the message of freedom for good. It's not worth doing.

On top of that, why would Ron run against Gary Johnson? Has everyone forgotten that Gary Johnson dropped out as a Republican to go Libertarian ticket? We can have our cake and eat it too. Vote for Ron in the primary and Gary in the general!

Yahoo News routinely sources some of the most egregious examples of so-called jounalism. I've never seen a single article in which they've cast Ron Paul in anything near a neutral light.

The media picks the president. Newt can win if the media all get behind him... that's for sure. He could win as a third party candidate, but missing out on GOP delegates certainly makes it tougher without the media backing. AFAIK, Newt is not on the ballot in Virginia and they do not allow write-ins. That is proof of incompetence.
I won't be shocked- though I will be angered- if the national Republican party, Gingrich campaign and mainstream media pressure Virginia and other states into letting Ginrgrich on the ballot in violation of their own rules.
