I am so frustrated...
I left work at 3:30 to go to the polls, because people dont know how to drive in icey weather and because the trucks did not salt properly 395 turned into a parking lot for over 5 hours today. I was stuck in 3 hours of it. Luckily I was by an exit and was able to work my way to it over the course of that 3 hours and made it to the polling place... unfortunately I made it there at 7:13 and THEY WHERE CLOSED.
Maryland extended their time by 90 minutes and they weren't even scheduled to close until 8 anyway.
Tens of thousands of people were stuck on 395 and 95 south because of over 20 accidents and Vdot closing down the highway.
I CAN NOT BELIEVE VA did not extend the voting times. I AM SO SO SO frustrated.
and please, do not tell me I should have voted before work. It was not possible! VA's election board has seriously created foul here.
