Does anyone remember Zach Wamp, former Congressman from TN-3 district? He is Weston's father and he regularly attended Liberty Caucus events. From Wikipedia: "Wamp served on the Liberty Caucus (sometimes called the Liberty Committee), a Republican group that focuses on reducing the size of the US Government. Congressman Ron Paul hosts a luncheon for the Liberty Caucus every Thursday."

Check out this guys statement on National Security!!! From his website:

"The greatness of the America is not better exemplified than through the men and women in the uniform of the United States armed forces.

Priority one is to honor the commitments made to them while they are in harms way and when they return home. The U.S. Military is the finest “command and control” organization in the history of the world and they deserve our unending support.

Today though our troops are over deployed and spread too thin. We cannot and should not be the world’s police force or engage in “nation building.”

When attacked, we should respond with fierce and decisive force but in order to do this in the future we must finish our work in Afghanistan and bring our combat troops home.

With threats to freedom coming from all around the world, we must focus on a “peace through strength” strategy and resist the urge to involve US troops in conflicts abroad unless deemed necessary by Congress
"

This dude speaks with conviction and is AWESOME!!!

Here is his performance in a recent debate:

It is a voluntary force. I can only have a bit of sympathy for their ignorant.

If they weren't joining, we would be able to continue these foreign adventures.

That argument would have some merit were it not for the fact that the funds are stolen from the people to pay these people and hence, can be levied in such a fashion as to entice a lot of young men and women into selling their lives away for Fascism, which actually doesn't amount to all that much in their grand conniving schemes. Most soldiers get paid butkus considering what the MIC rakes in. They're pawns prayed upon by the scum of the Earth. What average 18 year old is going to turn down 20 or 30 grand in signing bonus + GI Bill and other 'benefits'? If that isn't enough, then they'll simply raise it to 50k or more. It's not like they can't print more or steal more.

I think you just proved my point in that response.

Isn't Zach Wamp the guy who Matt Collins refused to shake hands with.

And the local TN GOP lashed Collins to a cross and left him for the vultures to feed on, if I recall correctly.

Wamp, Jr. doesn't sound so bad, though.

Yeah, Zach Wamp is better than average when it comes to national GOP figures but he isn't what I would call good. Nothing wrong with not shaking the hand of a man like that. His son sounds like Bush did in 2000 so I am not sure if that is a good sign. Plus, why does his 25 year old son think he should be given a position just because his dad had it? I'm confused.

The interview I saw of the father and son together yesterday morning reminded me of when Ron and Rand did joint interviews. (Just the way it looked, not politically.)

I live near this district so I can give a little report.

Weston Wamp is a great candidate. His father was a member of Rep. Ron Paul's Liberty Caucus. Unfortunately, Weston isn't getting as much attention as I would hope. The huge battle right now is between Scottie Mayfield (if you are thinking about ice cream or milk...you are absolutely correct, he is one of the directors and an heir to the company) and Congressman Fleischmann. I hope that the fight between these two can get Weston on top! :)

I live in a neighboring district and I'd like to get down to a campaign event and ask Weston a few questions. I'll let you know what I find out. Collins did tell me to stick a camera in his face adn ask him if he supported his dads decision to vote for the bailout!
