2/10/12 [VIDEO] Doug Wead on Maddow Show MSNBC. Incredible interview

we have 5 delegates in Nevada proportionally based on 18.7(% Ron won)/3.57. 3.57%=1 delegate. 28 delegates/100% of votes.
I thought that if anyone got 50% it was winner take all? Note how long it took to recount, and how Mittens ended up with precisely 50%, yet was well below that threshold before the recount.

I am, however, just a bit perplexed as to why the campaign seems so willing to broadcast and highlight this strategy, partcularly so early in the process.

Big News: This is the best thing you can do for the campaign! Please share with other Ron Paul supporters on their groups and walls....This is our weapon. Ron Paul has the most delegates so far and has a huge chance to win and become President. We need to amass more for every state!

Umm... IA, CO, MN and ME are UNBOUND. At minimum we have 5 from NV and 3 from NH, BUT there is a pretty good chance we won MOST of the unbound delegates. We could have over one hundred by the end of the night (of course nothing is official until they are actually selected). With that being said, Romney has 80/90. That's what I mean by we may be winning.

Also, in NV I believe they can choose to unbind the delegates at the state convention. If most of them are RP supporters doing the voting, they will be unbound.

To this point, it sounds like winning to me.

I hope you are correct. But last time, at the NV state convention, the first motion made was to bind the delegates to the straw poll. Seems the party had looked around the room and seen all the Ron Paul people and decided to be proactive. But the chair ruled, even without a vote, that the motion was out of order because we could not change RNC rules at a state convention, it had to be done at the national convention. Is that no longer operative? Because that would seem to work both ways when it comes to binding or unbinding delegates.

In fact, this was the first and last evidence of integrity from the chair during the entire convention.

The most amazing thing about that interview to me: She let him talk, and didn't interrupt him.

God that's refreshing.

Did everyone catch the fact that he is recruiting supporters over the age of forty to become delegates?
