At least 10 House Democrats are receiving access to increased security after receiving threats linked to their votes on the health care overhaul bill . . .

Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., whose Niagra Falls office was vandalized Friday, said that Democratic members are concerned about violence suggested by opponents of the health reform. "Basically shape up, or we're going to have a civil war," she said.

The way they keep ignoring the Constitution and the people while pushing their own agenda, they will get more than they bargained for.

Ever heard of blowback? I don't condone violence but holy shit batman, it doesn't take a genius to figure out why people are pissed off.

The Great Santini predicts:;)
Next year the will enact legislation that will expand the size and scope of the SS (Secret Service) and extend full contingents of agents to every senator and congresscriter.

Exactly when you take the view that people have NO rights they do not like it. This HC bill has got to go. NOW. And the rest of it too while we are at it.

I've been looking for a little more detail on these claims. Found this......

I've never hit a woman in my life , but if you put me in the same room with Nancy Pelosi , I would punch her square in her ugly plastic face.

Is that a threat ???

They must be idiots to think

Robbing from Peter to pay Paul while they give nothing in return is a good thing. I can understand why people are upset. Hiring 16,500 IRS goons while the country is broke to extract a new tax that is socialism or tax their small business to death and put em under might get a few people upset. Nothing compared to when the actual bill shows up though. Simply too many people in the cart now and too few pulling it. By the time they cap and tax and allow illegals to become citizens the country will have had enough.

It is as if people have to act like this to tell society that they do not feel represented or heard . . .
media and headlines you see in curbside boxes are all about how "happy" everyone is - really . . . who's happy ?

a civil war is on for the November mid-term Congressional elections and all upcoming primaries now I guess.

Holy crap did you see this?

Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.)'s brother also may have become a target when a Tea Party blogger posted his brother's home address online, believing it was the congressman's address.

Yesterday, Perriello's brother came home and found someone had severed a gas line to a propane tank that was connected to a gas grill on his back porch, CBS News confirms. The FBI and the Albemarle County Fire Marshal are both investigating the matter.

Yeah, people see that voting and writing letters make no difference, so they are making the message VERY personal.

It's not behavior I would engage in, but I don't feel sorry for the bastards either. This kind of thing is a natural consequence of the actions they have taken, and it will only get worse if they don't start responding to the will of the people.

What recourse are people given? It's saddening to see things come to this, but I suspect it can only get worse the more the politicians in Washington screw us. Just wait until the financial bottom falls out, I am going to cower in fear.

My God.

Congratulations Amerika. The Fed found the threat of external terrorism so conducive to you selling out your freedom for protection that they are taking it to the next level. A terrorist on every block. An "belligerent" at every P.T.A. meeting.

Hunt 'em down flush 'em out. It's gotta be the one saying we are losing our freedoms. It's gotta be the one talking about the Constitution and what not like Jefferson and such.

I don't know if you guys have noticed this or not. I like reading comments on articles. Sometimes they give better info than the article itself. Other times they are just amusing.

I've noticed that the past few days the comments have intensified to the point where people are flat out advocating violence.

For example, on the Fox News article (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...es-possible-threats-directed-house-democrats/) about this story, I see the following comments:

"They refused to follow the wishes of the people, so what do they expect? Perhaps if a dozen or so of the threats were carried out their hearing may improve. Dust a dozen of them."

"What are the bums complaining about? If Pelosi or any of the other scum-crooks who cooked up this healthcare bill, suddenly dropped dead or fell down the stairs or drowned while swimming or got hit by a car, it would be poetic justice...sort of a late term abortion. "

"Obama is marching us straight into a revolutionary and civil war all wrapped in one. Defend the Constitution and Freedom, Force may be necessary"

I don't condone what's happening, but I'm not at all shocked either. This reminds me of a book I read called "Term Limits" by Vince Flynn. Did anyone else have that feeling ?

I don't think threats of violence should ever be used..however I understand why some do.

Whats sadder is the Republicans are going to do jackshit to remove this fascist insurance company healthcare plan.

It's obvious that people will begin exploring other means to make their message clear. It was only a matter of time when they try calling, writing letters, and voting, and none of it works. The incumbent scum do not care what the people think through traditional methods.
