Insanity, but many probably had no idea who Ron Paul was since he didn't run any ads in this state. At least that was the impression I got from the senior citizens when canvassing. I am almost ashamed to admit I was born and raised in this socialist state!

according to the results of my county (orange) there are currently 137775 votes by mail counted out of 141687 votes counted total. So at least in my county (i'd image most others too) that they were mostly counted prior to him dropping out.
