Not much fanfare this year... remember to vote for Rand if you're in Kentucky! It's up to us to keep the best darn senator anywhere in the country!

Wow! Big win for Thomas Massie right there - he was its most prominent opponent, and helped lead the GOP convention to oppose Real ID in the platform! Various grassroots liberty organizations too.

Rand never stopped being Rand except in the imagination of the media and those who bought their narratives. Other than that, interesting article!

I participate in conventions, and have supported continuing to elect delegates after Rand suspended. Just letting folks know the establishment won the state convention, and this was their slate. They put Rand, Bevin and Hampton on so as not to face an uprising, but otherwise these are...

Ehhh... they put Paul and Bevin at the head of the list to dampen opposition. The slate was completely establishment - all the people who usually go, not supporters of any candidate. Massie is a delegate from one of the districts liberty people actually won.

This marks the first time liberty forces have won a district convention in Kentucky! Most of the "Cruz" supporters are liberty folks. Pretty cool - especially since we didn't have an active candidate to campaign for or rally behind. The movement is still maturing and learning how to win even...

Jamie isn't a pure liberty candidate, but he is tight with Rand and Massie and has other good influences. His voting record actually kept getting better when he was in the state house, which hardly ever happens. (Usually it's the other way around.) My guess is he'll be somewhere along the lines...

Rand is on fire here in Kentucky! He's doing 1+ town halls per day, all over Kentucky. Does he ever sleep? Probably just rests while reading Austrian Economics books like his dad...

I agree that Rand is the best candidate we have at this point. Though overshadowed by media, celebrity, and maybe flawed messaging this year, I can't think of anyone else who can make a stronger candidate. It's ridiculous and propaganda that the loss of one election, which almost no politician...

Yep! Basically, there are a lot of people who opposed the caucus because they hated Rand. And the Democrats like the CJ would always be against it. The Kentucky caucuses were actually pretty awesome... so much enthusiasm despite the terrible candidates.

Voted for Rand in Kentucky! Always love doing that - and I'll get two more chance this year! :D I was disappointed that they had "Withdrawn Candidate" lists posted everywhere, even though the votes would still count.

It seems they are playing this at Lincoln Dinners across the state... usually to wild cheers. :D

I apologize I didn't take the time to read the whole thread, but I find just the title annoying to see every time visiting the forum. "Failed?" You do realize, practically every politician secretly aspires to president some day - and scheme, deal and compromise to enable even the slightest...
