Shouldn't Huckabee be who we're focused on instead of Romney? Romney has the Mass. liberal look and I can't see him being popular here. Huckabee on the other hand, was a Southern Baptist minister, the dominant Christian denomination in the area. I think Huckabee's gonna run away with Alabama...

Incorrect, read my post above. If your area has a 6% sales tax you'll be paying 36% more.

It's 30%, they call it 23% because 30 cents is 23% of 1.30. So you aren't paying 23% more, but 23% of the total purchase price is what goes to the tax. 23% is a lower number so that's what they go with, despite it being 30% by every other sales tax standard.
