That was a surprisingly decent showing. Possibly aided by the fact that Ron Paul's name is first on the ballot? Our activism wasn't particularly stellar (Except for Dave whose just plain amazing).
RP doesn't have a chance in New York. It's a primary, a large state, Winner take all. There were no TV ads here. About 10% of the Syracuse meetup group is really active and a ton of people still ask "Who's Ron Paul?"
Didn't see any TV ads here in New York. Admittedly, it's not a good state for him to compete in, but how the hell do McCain and Huckabee have the cash to run ads here when Dr. Paul has so much more money.
MY mom said she'd vote for Dr. Paul a while ago. My dad's been thinking for agres now about who to vote for. Only two days ago did he finally decide he'll vote for Paul over McCain.
I really hope BJ Lawson wins. I have an aunt, uncle and cousins in his District (they live in Cary). When they came up here around New Years I told them about Lawson. Hopefully they'll support him.
I was watching the local news and there was a story about the new County Elections Commissioner or something like that. Ed Ryan, the new Commissioner said one of his most difficult challenges will be switching to the new "Federally Mandated touch screen voting system."
Is that accurate, did the...
Sheesh, I wish our meetup was that engaged and dedicated...
Then again I guess we probably would be if Anderson Cooper or Ron Paul or someone important came here. :/
I thought he did a great job defending himself on Iraq. I didn't like his answer on Obama, but overall the debate was really good for Dr Paul.
I wonder what he was saying to Bill Richardson.
