Zogby will poll any question or candidate that they get paid for.

Who was the sponsor of the poll?

That's who to get pissed at.

at the Daily Paul some guy just received a call form Rasmussen, which included Ron Paul and had four questions about him.

Was Rick Perry on the list?

Yes, along with a bunch of other neo-cons. I couldn't believe Ron Paul wasn't on the list of candidates to choose, I searched the list several times to make sure.

This is the tragedy of losing the SRLC straw poll. Sadly, it seems like his CPAC win was a very short moment of glory. Now, the blackout is back.

no surprise. the enemy has not yet lost control of anything. Hopefully they will soon...sticking a fork in them will be a great legacy for us and other people around the globe that will destroy the dollar. Yeeeee haaaaaa

This is Zogby. They are one of the least credible national pollsters... They had Bob Barr with 6% support before his campaign ever really started.

All that matters is we have Rasmussen and PPP's attention. Those are the two most prolific national pollsters and are both fairly credible (although PPP is generally really good it falls flat every now and then, and Rasmussen has a chronic slight Republican lean)

Feh, RP tied for a first place finish.

Bet Palin was in that poll.

Bet Newt was in that poll.

Bet Pawlenty (WTF?) was in that poll.

A tie for first is not as good as a win, but still, c'mon, if it means anything it's still positive.

The MSM would be ignoring RP on Inauguration Day FFS.

"Next on Faux News Live, Tiger's marital problems, oh yeah and by the way there some commotion in DC today".

Yep, this is exactly what any of us could have predicted: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=239061

This asinine idea that "second is better than first" has to be defeated before the Value Voters Summit. If we can get 10,000 Ron Paul supporters to a straw poll so that he wins with 99%, then that's what we should do. We must throw everything we've got at every news-worthy straw poll. I'll take the headline "GOP Abolishes Straw Polls After 2nd Floor of New Orleans Hilton Collapses from the Weight of Ron Paul Supporters" is preferable to a complete media blackout any day.

Nope. He still would have been left out of the Zogby poll even if he had won the SRLC straw poll because his win would have rendered it meaningless just like CPAC was rendered meaningless.

You and I know it was a virtual tie, but as I predicted in the thread I just linked to, unless Ron wins by a full percentage point, he may as well not even have been in the poll, as far as the MSM is concerned.

Victory is what Ron Paul had at the SRLC(southern states), VICTORY BABY;) that is how i see it and that is how the gop see it or they wouldn't spin the crap out of it.

no matter how folks see it. We kicked ass at the SRLC and more to come. i have a feeling the gop will cancel any event in the west not just straw polls!! let the gop throw an event in nevada or colorado, I DARE THE GOP TO:)

plese gop throw your events in Colorado or Nevada, the failed gop establishment already knows we kicked ass at both state conventions. the cogop refused to allow ron paul or our life-long republican to speak and in nevada the failed gop cancelled the convention.

I DARE THE GOP ,BRING IT ON!!!

Ron will get nothing from the MSM.

He hasn't ever before in 35 years in politics.

He, and by extension, us, will continue to be marginalized by the corporate press, world without end, hallelujah, amen.

By all means, let's do everything we can to blow out every poll we can.

But don't count on the establishment press to do it or report fairly on it, unless you have moles on the inside.

I suspect that may have been the reason for the positive tone of the Times Picayune article on SRLC that was on Sunday's front page.

I agree with your statement. As long as we're not talking about online polls, but real straw polls. Get as much as you can why not? I'm sure there are tactical reasons not to come in first by a lot in certain cases, but I'm not sure why it would be the case this time around.
