You Won't Believe What Public Policy Polling (PPP) is Saying!

Its true, if you play games with a poll (like not include independents or democrats, have a short time period, small number of participants, and HIGH margin of error) you can get it to say what you want (see Frank Luntz with Penn and Teller) and then that creates the impetus to make articles....its totally false momentum and is a propaganda technique that should be exposed. Props to PPP if they are doing just that.

From ppppolls, their twitter account.

Selzer had Santorum at 9% Tu-W. We had him at `10% M-Tu. Surge quite possibly generated by CNN poll that was quite possibly wrong

If CNN had shown Perry at 15% and he got all the momentum stories, the buzz in Iowa might be all about him this weekend

This means PPP is asserting that CNN had artificial numbers, creating an artificial surge...

We know polls DRIVE action, and so does media. But that is helpful.

Wow lots of respect for PPP lately. This is almost exactly what happened. I really hope the frothy media surge we see doesn't translate into real numbers Tuesday.

A picture is worth a thousand words

The blatant media propaganda this election cycle is so much worse than 2008.

and if you do it right before a caucus or elecation, it can change outcomes. I hope there is backlash. I wonder if there will be any publicity of this, though? Probably not, because so many do it.

If CNN do cost him this election and its vindicated by the next PPP poll, action by all of us must be taken against CNN.

Can you imagine them laughing in their corporate offices' around a big table reading our comments of despair?

But anywho, thats negative thinking - we'll stay positive and hope that PPP shows a diff picture.

It was to be expected, but it is still amazing to see the establishment throw everything including the kitchen sink at Paul.

This scares me cause it basicaly means they are detecting the surge as well. On the other hand if these people can be this effected by one poll..... how are they going to react to speechs during the caucus.

Of course, this still translates into a problem for us, it's just a "soft support isn't sure of our strength" problem rather than a "soft support suddenly dislikes and abandons Paul" problem.

Thus, good turnout from our supporters should turn most of them back when the caucus arrives.
