You Guys Aren't Canvassing In Revolutionary War Uniforms and Such, Are You?

People will be influenced by you if you dress like you're in charge.

I know this was meant as a joke, a very funny one at that, but it also makes an obvious point. If you ARE military, I think wearing your uniform would give you a very commanding position.

However, I just had a thought about deployed solder's families having a man in uniform ring their doorbell. It might make them think bad news is coming. Well, if you're military, use your best judgment.

I know how much that uniform means, and what it symbolizes to US, but regular sheep in our target demographic will most likely be turned away by that. To most people, especially ones who aren't even familiar with a US policy like the founding fathers, that just appears "weird".

We will do the best if we just dress like regular Americans.

I've been to a few rallies, and while I completely understand the uniform and the tri-corner hats, to me, it just seems like it turns people off that aren't already involved in this thing.

We should be out there wearing mainstream clothes, looking like any other average American citizen. We're going to get the best response from people if we look just like them.

You all know those sheep out there are scared of people who don't look just like them. That's how it is in this country.

We must be willing to swallow our pride along the way while we do this.

Are you trying to tell me that I should stop riding my horse up and down the street yelling "The Neocons are coming"

Good 1

Yes, that was a good one, Dr.

(Anyone else get images of Bill O'Reilly's face when they watch "The Voice of London" in "V for Vendetta"?) :D

I like to keep my dress abstract. I dress in a skin tone leotard and carry a print of the constitution and through the art of mime portray its erosion and decline. While my midget friend dressed in traditional jewish garb dances around me laughing maniacally.

This violates a lot of ethics rules. They are not allowed to represent the military while conducting political activities.

not just ethics rules, it's against the law, one way trip to court martial. you think the neo-con officers in the military wouldn't prosecute. they would.

No no no people, let's keep it professional here when canvassing.
