You can tell a hit piece from the picture they choose

Intelligence and high rep on a forum have nothing to do with each other. As far as the posters being brilliant I would say that in some areas they are astoundingly weak primarily when it comes to knowledge of Middle Eastern politics. To preach non-interventionism you'd better at least know something about Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, Iran, and Iran's missile capabilities.

This post alone tells me you don't know what your talking about.

I agree with the sentiment that its a stretch to compare Ron's photo to the one of Goebbels. However, I find it staggeringly appalling that we Americans are so terribly ignorant of history as to not know who Joseph Goebbels was. I am continually amazed at how stupid the average american is.

I think we all owe it to Ron, as supporters of his, to pick up a damned book every now and then, and KNOW our history, and geography, and about the constitution and economics. At the very least we need to not be total dumbasses like the average american in that video.

Sorry, my public education didn't teach about anything thats important. Lets see, I learned about black history, the civil war was about slavery, hmmmm thats all I can remember.

I actually love history, and I have several good books on our major wars. Problem is finding a good reputable author who doesn't distort the story. Any suggestions?

I have found that reading a couple different books about the same thing, and then trying to figure out from there who is bs'ing where and why. History textbooks in the US are notoriously bad. Like, really really bad. You are better off picking something random off the shelf of the library on say the civil war for instance. I find biographies to be pretty interesting. You can pick someone who fascinates you like Robert E Lee, or Andrew Jackson and sort of see history through their eyes.

True, don't think that they can't use Google Images to help them make the propaganda they want, here's an easily found photo of Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. They are obviously trying to make a connection by the style of picture taken of Ron Paul.

Since when has this message board become completely overrun by paranoid conspiracy theorists?

If I'm ahead of the forum in understanding media propaganda it doesn't make me wrong.

No, you are in bed with the media propaganda. Why? Because this thread would have had NO associative link between Ron Paul and a Nazi without your presence, but you posted a picture, derailed the conversation, and permanently associated two pictures with each other. If you want to call out conspiracy theories, hows that one sit in your crawl?
