Hello fellow Revolutionaries.

I used to visit Digg on a daily basis to get my news about the Ron Paul Revolution and I loved it. It was a very convenient way to stay current on what was happening with the r3volution as all the most important news were covered every day.

Unfortunately though, a weird 180 degree switch happened in the overall opinion of the Digg community and after witnessing all the unfair burying of all pro Ron Paul content on Digg, I figured some serious censorship was going on over there and I really got fed up with it. So I decided to create an alternative where we'll all be able to share, vote and comment on the best Ron Paul material at Bewst.com

The site is brand new and is starving for content, so please go ahead and submit your best links. Let's fill Bewst with all the best Ron Paul material and make it a great place we can all enjoy.

"Liberty promotes peace and peace promotes prosperity" ~ Ron Paul.

PS: The Bewst system is actually better than Digg's in many aspects. For example, you can embed videos directly within your submissions and it is not as restrictive in regard to posting links.

Check the following submission for example:

VIDEO - Ron Paul speech at CPAC conference.

no offense, but how is this any different this just using these forums, but with off topic posts scattered into the mix? It is not like a new social networking site is going to get the page views that even this site gets. I mean, look at the stories. They all have only 1 or 2 "Bewsts" And the fact that it makes no atttempt to hide the fact that it is nothing but a grade Z level Digg knock off is not going to get people to stay.

Hi GoPaul08,

I don't mean Bewst to be an alternative to this forum, I come here all the time and I love it. This forum is a really nice place with lots of great people and Bewst is never going to replace it and I certainly don't want it to. My point is that Bewst can become some kind of extension of the forum where the top news would get featured on the front page for quick daily access. We can list all the best stuff on there so that people don't have to go through thousands of threads to dig the gold. Heck we can even submit specific ronpaulforum threads that are important and rank them using votes. It's just an additional way to access and keep track of the great info that the revolution is producing.

As I mentioned, the site is brand new so it's only logical that there's going to be few votes and content at the beginning. These things are community based so It's up to us to grow it into something we can all enjoy and use. I think that the name of the site is a pretty good brand name and I'm sure we can do something great with this. Personally, I love social bookmarking sites as I find them very convenient but I'm sick of all the Obama / Clinton stories on Digg and I'm sure that I'm not the only one. So I say let's build our own and over time, as the community and content grows, it'll become more attractive to outsiders and could become a powerful tool.

While it is true that Bewst is nowhere near Digg in terms of size and reach, that doesn't really matter at this point; Rome wasn't built in a day. We can build this thing and enjoy it for what it is and who knows what it'll be in 4-8 years ;)

As Ron Paul says, revolutions are long term projects.

Btw... it is good to have some off-topic stuff because it can attract outsiders to the revolution.
